Omar is disappointed because on page 74 Omar was playing tag with Hassan and his friends then the tagger was close by where Omar and Hassan were hiding then Omar told Hassan not to say a word then Hassan did not listen and said HOOYO than the tagger tag Omar and Hassan.

First they were in Somalia and they came to a refugee camp then Omar wanted to go to school but he had to look after Hassan so he did not ask and he also did not have enough food and Omar needs to help Fatuma Omar and Hassan's Foster mom get food because one of them has to get food and Hassan can not help because he can not speak he can only say HOOYO and that means mama and because Fatuma is a foster mom Hassan calls her HOOYO then a bad war came and after the war Omar and Hassan had a chance to leave this refugee camp and Fatuma and go to America so he went to America.
