And that my friends is the Burmese python. Although, this may seem like your average snake you must be warned, this snake is a terrifying beast, with amazing hunting skills, and can literally swallow you whole. Be careful!!! From the pythons amazing characteristics, to the way the Burmese python effects different species, and the race to kill the most pythons. You must be careful around this snake!!! One important thing to know is that, the Burmese python is one of the most largest and most dangerous snakes in the world.

Sense the Burmese Pythons are roaming the Florida everglades the town must come up with a way to get rid of them… Preserving the ecosystem of the Florida everglades is very important. In addition to the thousands of Burmese pythons in the Florida everglades, the WIldlife Commision is sponsoring a Python Challenge to kill these snakes. To get more people to participate there will be prizes for the Python Challenge. According to page 45, the video, and page 46 it says that the person who kills the most snakes gets a grand prize of $1,500. And, the person who kills the longest snake gets a reward of $1,000. The Burmese Pythons appearance in Florida’s everglades is a man made event. Cleary the Pythons were released by humans. The lucrative pet market, and the unawareness of the snakes growth caused the need to have a python challenge. Since the people were unaware of the snake and the snake’s growth they should’ve educated themselves before they got them as a pet. So stay inside for the next couple weeks!

One way people in the state of Florida are helping get rid of these pythons is, the Python Challenge. There are people who catch them but, they do it for a prize, for money. I noticed in source 3: page 46 he text states that, if you harvest the biggest python or even the longest you will win up to $1,500. Don’t forget that if you do want to do this challenge you have to pay an $25 fee. People are also trained to catch and kill some pythons. For instance, since there are so many Burmese pythons in the everglades, people want to learn how to catch them if needed. The information in video 1 states that, in the year of 2016 about 500 people in Florida had signed up to learn how to catch or kill a Burmese python. People have careless actions regarding exotic pets. According to source 4: Page 47, it states that, “An exotic pet dealers warehouse that had housed nearly 900 Burmese pythons was destroyed during Hurricane Andrews, and many of these pythons escaped”. Another source of evidence states that, “We should do a better job to educating people about the effect their careless actions have on ecosystems here in Florida and around the world”. I don’t believe they should allow people to bring pythons into the state of Florida any longer but, there are varying ideas about what should be done about the Burmese python problem in the everglades.

According to page 45 they have no natural predators in the everglades so all they do is kill and eat other animals. Another essential point is they were released by their owners. The evidence to support is on page 45 it mentions, that people had had them as pets and didn’t know how big they could get, so, they released them into the everglades because they couldn’t properly care for them. In addition, there is a huge population if burmese pythons in the Florida everglades. For instance, on page 45 it states “ Tens of thousands of Burmese pythons are estimated to be living in the everglades, where they thrive in the warm, humid climate.” It’s easy to see that these invasive pythons are ruining a beautiful park.

According to page 45, this snake is an invasive species with no natural predators. Snakes are killing everything in their way. On page 44, it states, “Although they have no venom, they have other, quite effective means of killing their prey.” Burmese pythons are starting animal extinction for the Florida everglades. According to “reptilesmagazine.org” , pythons have a certain diet. They Usually eat up to “10-14 times a day”. This is a problem for wildlife animals that help the environment everyday. Eventually these pythons are going to destroy wildlife and ruin the environment.

According to page 45 the snake is an invasive species with no natural predators. Ever since the release of the Burmese python the population of small animals had decreased.According to video one population of small animals went down by 98%. so,you might want to reschedule that trip to the florida everglades

Also, the Burmese python is undefeatable to the - wildlife. The snakes are well camouflaged, and they are adapted to avoid detection.

The appearance of the burmese python is a result of man. Careless pet owners released them when they grew to large. Now, professionals are teaching civilians to identify, handle, and harvest the giant snakes. Scientist are teaching the hunters the effects the snake shave on the environment. With a $25 registration fee, people are flocking into the everglades to help save Florida's wonderful environment

Important things to know about Burmese Pythons? Yes, Burmese Pythons are gorgeous creature’s with a beautifully patterned skin that people find amazing, they are commonly known as pets. These “pets” usually get to big for the owners to handle leaving the owners to deposit them somewhere the snakes can get comfortable and adapt like close to their natural habitat, perhaps you should say. But when you deposit a snake where its not originated from that species can get invasive. This species has started to invade the everglades. Eating all the wildlife and overpopulating, this has became a BIG problem that we need to take action in. We have decided to start a competition. This competition will help get rid of the species but people will need training. People will need to be educated as it explained in the video. When people have learned how to catch and harvest their skin they are ready. So far 400 people have signed up and 17 snakes have already been killed, this competition has been alive since 2013, and we are still trying to get rid of the snakes. As of the video no one has seen foxes or rabbits in the everglades in 2 years. This competition is a money prize competition as it states on page 46 “Sign up for the competition to harvest the most Burmese pythons or the longest one and win up to $1,500. Once you sign up and pay a $25 registration fee, you will learn from experts how to identify, handle, and harvest these giant snakes.”

Imagine a large carnivorous snake, as long as a telephone pole, slithering through the long grass, searching for its next victim. That’s the Burmese Python. The Burmese Python hunts its prey by using its own bodies resources. From the reading I know that the Python has Chemical Receptors in their tongues and heat sensors along the jaws to help with their poor eyesight. One of the biggest snakes in the world. According to page 44, the snake is able to grow up to 23 feet, and weigh 200 pounds. It can also grow to be as round as a telephone. Native to Southeast Asia, docile, people like them as pets. On page 45 it explained that they “thrive in the warm, humid, climate.” Everglades, which is a similar to the marshes off the Florida everglades. No doubt this snake is something to take serious.

And Matt Piven agrees by explaining on page 45 how the Burmese python can grow at an alarming rate of 23 feet and can weigh up to 200 pounds. Not only are these giant creatures large, they are very skilled hunters that live in Southeast Asia. But, the Burmese python has turned into an invasive species in the Florida, Everglades. The way the Burmese python began to roam around the land of the Florida Everglades is by irresponsible pet owners releasing these dangerous snakes into the wild. According to the passage written by EchoEchoes, the author explains how it is utterly stupid for exotic pet owners t not do research over the animal and let the pythons out into the Everglades. Which is bad causing 98% of the small animals to disappear. Leading a ton of people with lethal weapons on a wild goose chase in order to kill the most pythons. The crazy fiasco is called", the Python Challenge." The python challenge is an arranged event that goes from January 12th and continues until February 10th and this is to try to control the astounding population of the Burmese python by killing (handling and harvesting) the python. Also EchoEchoes and I believe that this is not the most appropriate way to handle the Burmese python.
