I am motivated to learn by activities that make me think deeper about the subject and interest me. These translate to my classroom down the road as I will need to know how to properly teach each students and know what attributes benefit them, and also in knowing that they will all be motivated to learn in different ways.

I am motivated to learn when I have a good relationship with my teacher, along with feeling like the teacher has fully prepared me for assignments / exams / etc. In my classroom down the road I will try my best to form  good relationships with each of my students, and I will make sure that I prepare them to the best of my ability.

One thing that motivates me to learn, specifically now in my life, is the fact that every class I take now is directly related to my career, my passion, and what I will be hopefully doing the rest of my life. Realizing that makes reading through chapters of textbooks and writing paper seem much more important than before. 

I think this can translate to my classroom in the future by making sure when teaching children that they are aware of the importance of the lessons they are learning and how they will be applied in life and in many grades to come.

When I think about about what motivates me as a student it's self satisfaction in a job well done.  Also, incentives don't hurt either.

I believe a students learn best when they are comfortable. My classroom should be a positive environment where my student enjoy spending time and (hopefully) fosters their love of learning.

Something that motivates me to learn is knowing what all I will be able to accomplish once I have graduated. Also I think that something else that motivates me to learn is that I am a naturally curious person, so I think that definitely helps me when there is something that I need to learn or even just want to learn. 

These will translate to my classroom down the road because I always want to encourage my students to want to explore learning and learn about not only things that are relevant to our classroom, but also things that they find interesting. I also want to make sure that my students know that I am always there to help them and that I am there to teach and encourage them.

That will be projected onto the student. They also need to make things fun and mix it up sometimes to keep the students interested and focused.

Things that motivate me is having a positive and friendly teacher who is passionate and knowledgeable in their field. This  makes the class memorable for myself and keeps me interested. 

I hope these traits translate into my classrooms. I want to give the students a positive experience when they are in my class. I want to be able to motive them and keep them interested in their studies.

In one of the readings, it talks about how the stickler teacher isn't what an aspiring teacher should strive for. The teacher shouldn't be evaluated, only, on things that are quantitatively counted. When that happens, the enthusiasm that the teacher brings to the classroom, the joy that he/she/they brings to the classroom isn't accounted for - which, to determine an effective teacher, should be taken into consideration. I am motivated to learn when my teacher involves me and has a true passion for teaching. I plan to be a teacher that my students look forward to seeing. They should be willing to think outside the box and differentiate lessons based on students' learning styles and level of education. Things don't come as naturally to me as they used to, so I have to try much harder to comprehend and remember/recall information. If it weren't for my family I might give up, but I know my kids and my husband need me. That is all the motivation I need! 
I can take these attributes and motivation with me when I begin teaching. I can ensure that my classroom is a fun and user-friendly environment. It will be set up for all types of learners and education levels. On days that are difficult, I will just remember my family and know that it's all for them.

They ask need to push their students to their highest potential. I am motivated when my teacher is passionate about what they are teaching and they are having fun. I am much more responsive to teachers if I can tell that they really want to help me learn, rather than just wanting a certain result by the end of the year. I am motivated by encouragement, and compassion as a learner. Teachers can motivate me by showing me support and a genuine interest in my success as a student.

In my classroom down the road, I plan on being this type of teacher for students. One that believes in them, and encourages them to shoot for the moon.
