Birth rate

Ghana has the highest birth rate(12.4) from the three countries by more than double the amount. Developing countries children are needed as a labour force and to provide care for their parents in old age. Another factor for higher fertility rates are due to lack of access to contraceptives and lower levels of female education. As for Italy(3.5) and Canada(4.7) they have a low birth rate as most of their population is made of middle age people from the high immigration both countries have.

Life expectancy

Italy has the highest life expectancy(12.7) because of their lifestyles and the Mediterranean Diet. Since italy has an increased economic development, higher living standards and improved health their factor for life expectancy increases. Ghana's life expectancy is the lowest(1.2) because of high rates of natal-related deaths, malnutrition, poor public sanitation, a combination of deadly infectious diseases, and the rising prevalence of lifestyles-related health issues. As for Canada their life expectancy(8.9) is in the middle as we have access to healthcare over our whole life span and lower levels social and economic inequality but a lot of people smoke, heavy drink, and high mortality rates which causes many accidents.

Dependency Load

Ghana has the highest dependency load(39.7% younger=15.1 and older=20) most of the dependency is towards young people the age ranging from 14 and under as the proportion of working age starts to decline as well as the elder, the young ones have to help provide for their family. Italy is in the middle (36.6% younger=12.2 and older=24.4). Italy has a more dependency rate for older people ranging from 65 and older as they have a lower fertility rate and a higher rate in elders. Canada will have the lowest dependency load(35.1% younger 15.1 and older 20). Canada has a pretty close and even dependency rate but the 65 and older higher as we have more elders than younger people due to high immigration rates.
