When I was first coming into this class, I was not excited. I have always had a difficult time with using technology so I thought this class was going to be really challenging and not something I was super interested in. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I set pretty high expectations for myself in school, especially when it comes to my teaching classes. Teaching is something I feel very passionately about and take pride in my ability to teach. So, I try to take these classes very seriously. I was very pleased with how my lesson facilitation went. It was my first time teaching such a large class and designing the full lesson. I took many of the projects, including the lesson facilitation as opportunities to challenge myself and I truly appreciated all of the feedback. I actually enjoyed padlet so much that I plan on purchasing a subscription for it! I just feel like it was very user friendly and had a lot of design options, even for the free account! I also like how versatile this app is. I really liked the newsletter idea as a way to communicate with parents. I like that the newsletter leaves a lot of room for teacher creativity and choice of what I want to share each week! I think it's so important that parents know what their students are learning/working on at school so that they can help their students at home and/or motivate them.
