This is what most trafficking victims feel every day. They search for a silver lining but there isn’t one. They want it all to be over but they are afraid to escape because they know it could mean death. They feel like they are alone so they resort to suicide so that all the pain will stop and they will finally have peace. But, this isn’t a choice they should have to make or even think about. There should be a silver lining or a way to escape. Grace Christian School can’t send in a police force to help the victims escape or to arrest the human traffickers but we can do something as simple as raising money and giving it to a charity to help finance a way for these broken people to heal or escape. One day a year people draw a red X on their hands to raise awareness for human trafficking victims but we need to do more than just draw a red X on our hands. We need to try to at least make a difference in our world because change starts to happen when a person steps up to the plate.
