Brazzaville is the capital of the Republic of the Congo, in central Africa. It's on the Congo River, opposite Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Just outside the city are the Congo Rapids. The cylindrical Nabemba Tower overlooks the river in the city center. The marble Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza Memorial contains the remains of the city’s founder. Nearby is the Modernist Basilique Sainte-Anne. They have a population of over 1.696 million. Sapé culture is very popular around this area. Sapé culture means to validate each other, performing their authenticity by showing off their knowledge and their branded clothing.
