As a son and fiancee, Victor loves his father and Elizabeth dearly. He does want to protect his family or at least he thinks of them. Victor does selfish actions such as thinking that he should stay to protect his family but leaves elsewhere anyway. Victor is an okay fiancee and son treating them dearly but not doing many actions for them. 

As a scientist, Victor excels in his studies and even creates an artificial living being. He shows great potential as a scientist but on the night his creation actually comes to life, he becomes too scared to work. He becomes terrified of his scientific tools and refuses to do anything more scientific. 

Victor is a son who is both mature and immature. He started out as a good son, following his father's instructions to get a higher education at the University of Ingolstadt. When he leaves for college after his mother's death, he is most concerned about his family. He was raised by loving parents, which hit him hard when his mother died. He was immature because of his actions, which resulted in the deaths of those he cared about the most. If that wasn't bad enough, he remained silent, causing his father even more emotional pain as a result of Justine's death. He did, however, adore his family and considers his childhood to be a happy one because of his parents' love and attention. But he failed to protect the people he cared about the most.

Victor as a scientist : 

Victor has always been fascinated by science and philosophy since he was a child. Victor became more intelligent as a result of this, and he was determined to learn more. His desire to satisfy it drove him to go too far. He believes that with all of his technical knowledge and education, he can successfully carry out an experiment that no other scientist has ever attempted. That inspired him to create his creature, but when it comes to life, he abandons it. He was terrified of his creation, which made him even more afraid of doing anything scientific.

Victor as a father :

Victor as a father is the worst. Nothing justifies how Victor just left the scene as soon as his creature came to life. He abandoned his creation as soon as it came to life. Victor didn't even give his creature a chance as a father would. His creation reached out; he described it as “He might have spoken, but I did not hear; one hand was stretched out, seemingly to detain me, but I escaped and rushed down stairs" (59). Victor couldn't put up with the sight of his own creation and left. What Victor felt was fear, but throughout the novel the only thing that the creature wanted was to be loved. Victor is a terrible father because, in life, a father is expected to love and care for his child regardless of the circumstances, which Victor failed to do.

Victor as a fiance :

As a fiance Victor is loving and cares for Elizabeth like no other. Victor has a deep connection with Elizabeth. Elizabeth's mother died giving birth to her so his family adopted her.. Victor sees Elizabeth as, “ A being heaven-sent, my more than sister, the beautiful and adored companion of all my occupations and my pleasures” (36-37). This shows his love for Elizabeth, but it also demonstrates how his immature actions led to her death. He was aware of his surroundings on their wedding day because he knew his creation would appear at some point, but Elizabeth was killed. Her death resulted from him withholding crucial information from her. I do feel extremely bad for Victor, but he could’ve avoided this situation if he had just said something. He talked so much about her throughout the novel and how much he loved her as well as wanting to see her, that it hurt me too when she died.

Victor as fiancé: Victor was not the best fiancé but not the worst Victor deeply loved Elizabeth and knew her very well because they grew up together. Victor welcomed her into the home when her mother died. From there they built a great relationship. Elizabeth cared deeply for Victor but he regularly did not tell her important things that ultimately lead to her demise. The creature that Victor created ultimately lead to Elizabeth’s death. 

Victor was a great son when he was young and became a little foolish After he created the creature and came out of being sick. Victor followed all his parents commands when he was younger and as per their wishes went to college in Ingolstadt. Upon arriving there he, along with creating the creature, studied other topics but then became obsessed with creating the creature and only dealt with the creation. After the creature was created and victor Frankenstein overcame his sickness he got a letter saying that his dear brother William, had been murdered. He went back to Geneva and discovered that it was the monster he had created that killed William. He did not though give himself up like he should’ve but instead kept it a secret.
