 Hi, My name is Tenzin. I was born and raised in south region of India but my nationality is Tibetan. I speak four languages, Tibetan, Hindi, Khanna is region language spoken in a region where I have lived in India and I didn't learn English until I came to the United States. My family and I lived Tibetan refugee camp in India called "Bylakuppe camp" near the city of Mysore, India. I lived in India for 13 years till my mom decided to bring my sister and I to the U.S. for better opportunities. For that, UT was first school of choice to attend because of high academic standard and being close to home. I am Junior majoring in Mathematics and hope to teach high school math once I graduate from UT. I decided to be teacher because I always feel like I could make an impact in student's life and help them to succeed in future. Furthermore, the things I like doing when I'm not in school is running outdoor, hiking, video games, playing baseball, soccer and enjoy watching Investigation Discovery channel.
