Group B:

The bar chart illustrates the reasons why people visited five different cities in the UK in 2013.

Overall, the main reason of visits to the country was for holidays. Edinburgh had the vast majority of tourists, pursued by London, while Birmingham remained as the least visited city for this purpose.

The primary reason for visiting the top five cities was for holidays. In London, half of all visitors came for this purpose, while Edinburgh recorded the highest figure, with just over two-thirds choosing it as a holiday destination. In contrast, Manchester and Birmingham saw significantly lower proportions, each attracting just over one-fifth of their visitors for holidays. The second most common reason was business travel, with Birmingham leading the group as nearly half of its visitors were there for work-related purposes. This was followed by Manchester, where almost one-third of the visits were for business. London and Liverpool had similar proportions, whereas Edinburgh had the smallest share, with only one in ten visitors coming for business reasons.

In terms of visiting friends or relatives, the proportions were relatively similar across all five cities, generally ranging between 20% and 30%. Manchester had the highest figure in this category, with nearly one-third of visitors coming for this reason, while Edinburgh had the lowest, at just under one-fifth. As for miscellaneous reasons, this purpose accounted for the smallest proportion in all cities. Liverpool and Manchester recorded the highest shares, both slightly above 10%, in the other hand, Edinburgh again had the lowest, with fewer than one in ten visitors citing this reason.

In conclusion, it can be seen that more visitors decided to go to London, Edinburgh and Liverpool on account of the holiday than bussiness, visiting friends or relatives and miscellaneous. While the two remaining cities did not. Morever, doing other things is the least popular reason for visiting the cities mentioned above.
