DO

·        Make it simple. This is important as it makes it easier for the audience to understand

·        Make the dress code clear to clearly show the character. This is important as the audience knows the particular character type your supposed to be.

·        Use a tripod when filming this is important to avoid the quality of the video from being wobbly.

·        Use music and sound which is suitable to the genre of the film this is important as it ensure the audience know how to react

·        Use a range of shot types. This is important as it gives a variety of clips to use when editing and can make the video more interesting

·        Have an ending. This is as important as the beginning and it keeps them interested throughout.

·        Choose a wide variety of locations. Be creative on the set and make it a fantasy. This is important as it make the film entertaining.

·        Remove natural sound and input your own. This can make the film sound better and make it more movie like.

·        Put your camera at eye level. This is important as it makes the film more realistic. 

·        Make sure that the rhythm and beat fits into the edit

·        Use sound effects/ make your own sound effects

·        Always plan your shots. This ensures that you know what you are doing and you can work efficiently knowing how you are going to shoot your shots.

·        Control the location that you are at. Think of similar places that work if one is not working.

·        Always shoot the same scene 3 times this helps if one of the shots are better the 2nd or 3rd time

·        If there is no voice included use clear facial expressions to ensure the audience know how you feel

·        Get excited about how you are going to film the content.

 

Don’t 

·        Make the scene too complicated

·        Shoot into the light, use natural light to avoid glares 

·        Shoot the film in order, do different scenes if it helps

 

 

 

Reflection on my work

Throughout the time making the 1minute film our group worked well together as we all contributed and gave in ideas and overall we all worked well as a team. This helped as at the start we all got to know each other and there were no issues during the time. We worked well as we planned how we were going to shoot the different kind of scenes and how we were going to place the camera in different positions. Also before we started filming we went around the college to get an idea of how we were going to film the movie. The thing that we could’ve worked on is shooting the scene more than once to ensure that the clips are as good as they could be
