We all think of ourselves as original, but we are completely a product of our generation! My parents are Baby Boomers, my husband and I are both Gen X, and my kids are both Gen Z, to a T. I think the older we get, the more important it is to check in with a list like this! Right now, I'm doing well, because my kids are ages of the kids I teach. By looking at the infographic you can clearly see the polar opposites that are presented. I think it is always hard to think about that this list continues to grow and that we are preparing students for jobs that do not even exist yet. It also goes along with the amount of technology that continues to come out. The Alpha/Glass Generation and Gen Z don't want to get away from their families as quickly and don't assume they are going to purchase a house. My generation seemed to want to escape either at 18 or immediately following college and wanted to own a condo, townhouse, or house as soon as possible for life to begin and as an investment. The information in the report also helps me understand a bit more about my kids who are Gen Z and especially understand Gen Alpha whom we are currently teaching.
