How did the use of recreational marijuana become an issue of federalism?

Since the constitution protects the rights of the people while having some regulations to certain subjects the federal government can't really interfere with the people's voice. If the federal government aimed at shutting down state-licensed marijuana businesses, they will defy public opinion. If the republicans attempts to force marijuana prohibition on the states that have opted out of it are inconsistent with the decentralized system of the government established by the Constitution.

What are the main points for this to remain a state issue? a federal issue?

In terms for how marijuana should be dictated and how, the subject should be a state issue due to the fact that each state has their own majority vote whether or not to legalize it or not. The federal government can't make that choice for all the states because it creates conflict with the Constitution. But the federal government can make decisions on how much marijuana is distributed to each person and state so that each individual can consume responsibly.

I believe that marijuana should be legalized in all states to be used for medical and recreational purposes. Not only the drug is used as a depressant it aids with medical and emotional conditions. The drugs is used to treat and alleviate the symptoms of medical conditions such as autism, ADHD, glucoma, alzheimers, M.S and arthritis. The drug is also a safer alternative to more dangerous drugs and alcohol, hepls with the healing process of bones, helps with anxiety and other mental issue, such as PTSD. Although I believe the state should make the choice of legalizing the drug, I also believe the federal government should regulate the distribution.
