<title>In Frankenstein, Justine, Elizabeth, Caroline, and Safie are described with having a beautiful appearance. Most of the female characters die and they are domestic goddesses. They are marginalized because they are thought of as lower in status. Likewise, in the real world, many women are raped and not respected as much as men are.</title>

<title>The monster marginalizes himself when he talks about his appearance and he believes he cannot fit in with society. This is something he believes to be true for himself because of his appearance and the reactions that others have about it. A quote to explain this could be &amp;quot;Of my creation and creator I was absolutely ignorant, but I knew that I possessed no money, no friends, no kind of property. I was, besides, endued with a figure hideously deformed and loathsome; I was not even of the same nature as man. I was more agile than they and could subsist upon coarser diet; I bore the extremes of heat and cold with less injury to my frame; my stature far exceeded theirs&amp;quot; (ch 13).</title>

<title>&amp;quot; &amp;quot; My dear father, you are mistaken; Justine is innocent.&amp;quot; &amp;quot; If she is, God forbid that she should suffer as guilty. She is to be tried today, and I hope, I sincerely hope, that she will be acquitted.&amp;quot; &amp;quot; Justine was wrongfully convicted for the murder of William. This quote shows that her loved ones do not want her to be incarcerated, because while they want justice for the loss of William, they do not want the wrong person to be punished, as that is not justified. On August 31st of 2010, Ivan Henry was released from jail after 27 years when it was proven that he did not commit the 10 accounts of sexual abuse that he was charged for. Like Justine, he was wrongfully convicted for a crime he did not commit, and to bring justice, which is what the legal system strive to achieve, he will be given money to make up for the time behind bars.</title>

<title>The Creature was marginalized because of &quot;his limbs were in proportion...His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath&quot; (42). This is very similar to the life of Texas woman&amp;nbsp;Lizzie Velasquez&amp;nbsp;who has a rare condition where she cannot gain fat which has warped her face. Throughout her childhood she was left out of things and had few friends much like the creature.</title>

<title>&amp;quot; She indeed veiled her grief, and strove to act the comforter to us all [...] she devoted herself to those whom she had been taught to call her uncle and cousins. Never was she so enchanting as at this time when she recalled the sunshine of her smiles and spent them on us. She forgot even her own regret in her endeavors to makes us forget&amp;quot; (Shelley 29). In that time period it was the woman&#39;s role to take care of the home. By letting Elizabeth take over where Caroline left, and denying her the opportunity to make her own decisions and limiting her choices (such as the opportunity to travel like Victor does), Mary Shelley marginalizes Elizabeth by drawing her as the idealistic, passive &#39;angel in the house&#39; female stereotype of that time period. </title>
