Stagnant Pomeranian bacteria cause 2% of the 99,000 deaths in the United States from hospital-acquired infections.

 Researchers from the University of California, USA, have discovered that an old antibiotic could be a powerful new tool against a deadly bacterium.

 "World Health" reveals the specifications of effective cloth masks

 In a study published, Tuesday, in the journal "Microbiology of Nature", researchers concluded that the antibiotic "rifabutin" is very active in combating "stagnant Pomeranian" bacteria, which are resistant to multiple drugs, which is an important cause of life-threatening infections in medical facilities.

 "Rifabutin has been around for more than 35 years, and no one has ever studied its role in fighting bacteria," said Brian Luna, assistant professor of molecular microbiology and immunology at the University of California’s Keck School of Medicine, in a report published by the university’s website in conjunction with the study’s publication  Stagnant Romanian. "

 Rifabutin is used to treat tuberculosis, especially in people with HIV (AIDS) who cannot tolerate a drug similar to rifampin, and it is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, which are the safest and most effective drugs needed in the health system.

 Until now, rifabutin has not been used against "stagnant Pomeranian," which appeared during the Iraq war as a dangerous bacterium that kills troops in military treatment facilities, causing pneumonia, meningitis and bloodstream infections.

 And each year, these bacteria cause about 2% of the 99,000 deaths in the United States from hospital-acquired infections, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

 One of the reasons why rifabutin’s superpower against superbugs is being ignored, researchers said, is because of current screening techniques.

 Since the 1940s, new or existing antibiotics have been tested against bacteria grown in gels packed with nutrients, which speed up the process by making the bacteria grow rapidly.

 "But bacteria grow completely differently inside the human body," said Brad Spielberg, chief physician at Los Angeles County Medical Center at the University of Southern California and lead author of the study, so the team designed a new type of media that better mimics conditions inside the body, and they assumed that the media  More realistic may reveal antibiotics of hidden strength.

 The researchers found that rifabutin was strongly active against "broma stagnant" grown in nutrient-limited media (as well as in animal tissues) but not effective against bacteria grown in more commonly used media.

الجهاز الهضمي قناة طويلة ومتعرجة تبدأ بالفم وتنتهي بفتحة الشرج . وهو الجهاز المسؤول عن هضم الأغذية حيث يحول جزيئات الغذاء المعقدة والكبيرة إلى جزيئات أصغر قابلة للامتصاص؛ أي تستطيع النفاذ عبر الأغشية الخلوية. وتتم هذه العملية بواسطة تأثيرات ميكانيكية تحدث بفعل العضلات والأسنان  وتأثيرات كيمائيه  تحفزها الانزيمات. ولعملية الهضم عدة مراحل في الجهاز الهضمي، تبدأ في الفم (تجويف الفم). وتتضمن عملية الهضم تكسير الطعام إلى مكونات أصغر ثم أصغر والتي يمكن امتصاصها وهضمها إلى الجسم. ويساعد إفراز اللعاب على إنتاج بلعه يمكن ابتلاعها لتمرّ بالمريء ثم المعدة. ويحتوي اللعاب أيضًا على الأنزيم المحفز ويدعى بالأميلاز  الذي يبدأ عمله على الطعام في الفم. وهناك نوع آخر من إنزيمات الجهاز الهضمي والذي يدعى بالليلباز  اللساني والذي يتم إفرازه عن طريق بعض الحليمات اللسانية لتدخل اللعاب. كما تساعد عملية مضغ الطعام عملية الهضم بواسطة الأسنان والتقلصات العضلية للتمعج. ويعد وجود العصارة المعدية في المعدة شيء أساسي لاستمرار عملية الهضم لأن إنتاج المخاط يحدث في المعدة. والتمعج هو الانكماش الإيقاعي للعضلات الذي يبدأ في المريء ويمتد على طول جدار المعده وباقي الجهاز الهضمي. وهذه يؤدي إلى إنتاج الكيموس  والذي يتم امتصاصه ككيلوس في الجهاز  اللمفاوي عند تكسيره بالكامل في الأمعاء الدقيقه. وتحدث معظم عمليات هضم الطعام في الأمعاء الدقيقة. ويتم امتصاص الماء والمعادن مرة أخرى في الدم في قولون الامعاء الغليظه.  وتخرج الفضلات الناتجة عن عملية الهضم من فتحة الشرج  عبر المستقيم.
