Reallocating a few couple billion dollars of the city’s budget to support people, services, and marginalized communities would benefit the people instead of going to the law enforcement to have harmful resources. The funds would provide schools, parks, shelters, hospitals and help those who are in need. I will be presenting on my own an explanation on why cities should defund their law enforcement.

Many adolescents' health is being affected, so yes, schools starting times should be changed to later times. It has been shown that having later start times helps improve their attendance records and mental health. Having them enter earlier has caused many to have problems with their brain development. It has affected many to have an insufficient sleep, which has caused a significant problem in their academics. This ultimately hurts teenagers' health as they are still in their vital years of growing. The feminism movement is not an anti-men movement, but a pro equality movement. Women especially have been oppressed and mistreated by many different aspects of society. In fact, the devaluing of women is so normalized in our society, that it can sometimes be unrecognizable for most. Feminism allows  women to gain confidence and fight for their rights and fair treatment. This ideology is extremely important and gives us a voice. The answer is yes, but it doesn't apply to all. It depends on each case of individuals. Illegal immigrants can gain legal status. It's a humanitarian imperative to keep families together. If someone enters the U.S. border as a child who cannot be separated from the parents, they should be encouraged to work hard to gain U.S. citizenship because these children have no choice to make their own decision whether to stay in their home country or to leave. I plan to work on my own, and my next presentation will explain different cases more clear.

The death penalty is sort of an “easy way out” and is unethical, as well as immoral. The death penalty is not really a form of punishment. Allowing the person to spend time in prison or in rehabilitation (depending on their crime) I think is the most fair way to punish someone. Not only is it meant for punishment, but it is also a learning experience that will make them a better person. Yes, alternative energy sources can effectively replace fossil fuels. Due to our dependency on fossil fuels as our primary energy source for so long, it became the largest cause of greenhouse gas emissions during the 20th century. The estimate of the earth’s average temperature has increased by about 1 degree Fahrenheit also. After observing that fossil fuels have made the world worse than better, alternative energy sources should solve the problem. It helps clears our oxygen by not utilizing a massive amount of heat. It is also cheaper than fossil fuel, which will be easier for people to create more energy. I will be working with Jeremy Belongie.
