         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Olive Branch Petition was a document drafted by John Dickinson, a politician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, delivered by the Continental Congress. This document was delivered to King George III. It explained they wanted a reconciliation, which in this  case means the restortion of friendly relations, but the king refused to read it. To understand why read under the title called "The  British."</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This war was important because it was really the genesis of the reason the colonies wrote the Olive Branch Petition. Great Britain became broke, as a result of this war. So they went to the colonies for money. The colonies felt mistreated being taxed by new laws set in place and enforced. This created tension which lead to the petition being thought to be a necessity for the colonies to stop a potential war. </div>]]></description>
