Cooperative Work (Monica and Sulaf) On 26th of July, we, Monica and Sulaf, met to talk about PLC sessions for the first time. In the summer seminar, I decided to help Sulaf as a new PLC leader. It was important for me to make her aware of what the PLC idea is and how to make her life easier. We dealt with different matters especially agenda and topics to be discuss in the sessions. I shared my work during the year and guided her on how to start this challenging journey. The first thing Monica focused on organization, how to organize things that you are going to go through with my PLC. She gave me a lot of tips on how to find suitable and rich material for sessions. She also gave me some articles to read in order to be more aware of the things that can come up during the sessions. It was very relieving to be around someone experienced, both as teacher and as PLC leader. Since dealing with teachers is not at all as dealing with students. You have to be engaging and know how to deal with people interaction. For Monica, it was very important and relevant to invite me for observing her first session in Kiryat Shmona. It gave me a clear picture how sessions look like and a more or less to predict thing that might arise within meetings, and to have accordingly some sort of strategy how to deal with such situations. That was the beginning of a productive year together. Every time we see each other we share ideas, challenges, suggested solutions to different topics which might arouse.

Cooperative work (Tasneem and Debbie)

Debbie and Tasneem met on Tasneem's first year as an English teacher in high school in the literature Hishtalmot. I am not sure whether she remembers me as one of the teachers she taught or not. As the leaders PLC started, Debbie was the only one I knew. I asked for Debbie's help. She was delighted to give me aid on several occasions. On February 25th we met in Tiberius's Pisga and Tasneem observed Debbie in her PLC. Watching Debbie teach helped me understand the idea of the cooperative learning community. I was able to see cooperation and mutual respect. I saw that he session achieves its goal in creating a community in which the participants can share their lesson plans, activities and ideas. On another occasion I contacted Debbie to give me guidance regarding a speaking activity which I had to implement in a school project. We created a community of our own where we can find support and help.
