I would reccommend always making sure to keep an extra organized reports of your data. I would also suggest following up with the teachers/afterschool program through monthly eye catching emails so that they have a higher chance of being engaged and sharing information to you for your data reports.

I would just say take a deep breath. Always ask questions. And reach out to other coordinators when you need help.

Prioritize your relationships with school admin, teachers and staff. The more you're involved in the school activities, the easier it will be to coordinate events/services.

We all work closely together. For example, both the FACE Coordinator and Wellness Coordinator attended our School's conference night to have a table to hand out resources and information.

We try to keep up with all documentation that comes in. We strive to give teachers and students the best opportunity to receive health/ wellness services. Keep engaging with all staff at the school to know your role and how you can help them with medical needs.

Create an asset map to identify the needs of the teachers, students, and their families. Do not be afraid to ask questions!

I am a new coordinator, the best advice I can give as a new myself would be integration early on, Get involved with the school from day 1, greet the children in the hallways and as they come into the front door, High fives, hugs. Seeing the smiles on their faces to see you is worth so much.

Our CORE team meets bi-weekly to update each other on our pillars and discuss ways to collaborate where needed. FACE director/coordinator is super helpful to collaborate with. Wellness & FACE goes hand in hand with each other.

As a FACE you have to embody your role from the inside out. We can't expect family and communities to engage if we don't set the example. FACE is the epicenter of the CPS and building relationships is vital. Build not only with parents and students but the school staff as a whole.

I am still new to my position as an ELC but I think attending subject team meetings with teachers is important. Being present throughout the school is also important so the more the staff and students see you the more of a repour you build with them!

Being able to collaborate with the afternoon programs, school events and also assisting with food distribution. I have come to see a big key component to the CPS model is collaboration so in many ways you touch every position to some compacity.

Assisting teachers with their needs and being available for their questions, being a group effort, and allowing our principal to be involved 100%, and Allowing the teacher to ask questions, Our director is amazing, while we don't know all she does, working together as a whole, and not claiming only 1 position, by being a well-rounded team we can communicate with the school staff and community.
