         <description><![CDATA[<div>-The tonga language : Tonga<br>- 105.697 inhabitants (2020)<br>- Tongan (inhabitants name)<br>-&nbsp; they are called ,friendly island,country in the southwestern public ocean -- the island is about 748,5 km^2&nbsp;<br>- the summit of volcanic undersea mountains from the two roughey parallel chains of the tongan islands.<br>-common flora includes banana trees hibiscus frangipani.<br>-Fauna: flying fox, Red shining paro ,whales.<br>-Tradition:&nbsp; church and familly-oriented society, extremely hospitable.<br><br>-Climate change consequences : intense tropical cyclones,extreme rainfall,flooding,heat waves,drought,ocean acidification, sea level rise.<br><br>-Response to climate change: they have been trying to stop all the consequences but without any success. they tried with floating houses.<br>But the only solution that has really worked is to leave the territory and migrate to a safe place.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

By <strong>2030</strong>, under a high emissions scenario, this rise in sea level is projected to be in the range of 5-15 cm which will provoke coastal flooding.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>geography= <br><strong>2 parallel chains of volcanic islands and small coral atolls in the south-western Pacific</strong>. <br>Nearest neighbours are Vanuatu to the south-east and Papua New Guinea to the west.<br><br>population=<br>686 878 (2020).<br><br>language=<br>the official language is english.<br><br>traditions=<br>customs are handed down from one generation to the next.<br><br>Sports=<br>They play cricket and rugby.<br><br>Food=<br> fishing and agriculture,&nbsp; coconuts, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassava">cassava</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_potatoes">sweet potatoes</a> and a high variety of fruits and vegetables figure into the local cuisine.<br><br>effects=<br>-Warmer sea water,&nbsp;<br>-coral bleaching,&nbsp;<br>-sea-level rise,&nbsp;<br>-coastal erosion,<br>- soil salinisation,&nbsp;<br>-changes to tidal patterns&nbsp;<br>- negatively impacting the marine environment.</div><div>&nbsp;-they have to travel further away and spend much more time to catch less fish, smaller.<br><br>Over the last 10 years, the islanders have tried to hold the water back by building stone walls, which the elders say wasn’t necessary before.&nbsp;<br><br>Maybe the only option left will be to move to the mainland. An earthquake that caused a tsunami dealt a serious blow to transportation and the power grid and killed about 200 people in 2011. In 2012, Tropical Cyclone Even caused heavy flooding and wind damage which displaced more than 6,000 people and damaged or demolished around 1,500 homes in Upolu.</div>]]></description>
