Peardeck can take any boring google side and turn it into a fun and interactive assignment. Peardeck is an add on that can easily be downloaded into your Google add-ons, and it extremely user friendly. Peardeck will prompt and suggest activities that can be embedded into new or existing Google slides, and it can allow for a self led, or teacher led lesson.

Nearpod is another great tool to create interactive lessons. Nearpod can take existing Google slides and Powerpoint slides and turn them into interactive masterpieces. One of my favorite features of this resources if the ability to make user responses and poll responses anonymous. This allows for shyer users to be open and honest about their feelings or opinions. The Nearpod library also had great pre made lessons available as well for both teacher's and librarians. This is not an entirely free resource but it is something that could be purchased using library or school funds, and chances are that your district is already using Nearpod as a part of their curriculum.

Flipgrid is a must for teachers and librarians interested in increasing their student engagement. Flipgrid allows students to create video responses on set prompts and topics. Students can be as creative as want, they can add filters to their videos, pause and stop to create stop motion videos, or add and embed pictures and links to their videos. At my current school, we use Flipgrid to help our Emergent Bilingual students practice their English speaking skills privately.
