Remake of Thoughts on Naturalization Test (DUE 2/2) by Henry Raper

This week you should visit https://my.uscis.gov/prep/test/civics and take a practice test to prepare a person for the civics portion of the Naturalization Test. The actual civics portion of the naturalization test is NOT multiple choice. Rather, a USCIS officer will ask the person up to 10 questions from the list of 100 questions in English. The person seeking citizenship must answer correctly 6 of the 10 questions to pass the civics test. Post your thoughts on the test and your experience. You don't have to share how many you had correct or not.

I didn't find the questions particularly difficult, but I do think they included valuable information that not even all natural-born American citizens know. The test gives a good run-through of the setup of our country, and I think that all citizens and prospective citizens should have a basic understanding of how our country runs.

The questions were very informative and would be something an american citizen should know. It hits on the key points of the main events that lead to the freedom for our country while also asking questions that help others to understand today's elections and government.

I think that this test would be really easy students who have lived in America. Yet I have a hard time answering some of these questions so I think they should ask different ones.Immigrants have limited resources,so i think we should prepare them better to take the test.

I thought the test was pretty easy. I think it is important to be up to date on our nation's leaders. It would benefit all of us to learn more about the government and our constitution.

I am a natural born citizen of the US but I did not know the answers to some of those questions off of the top of my head. I am sure that someone seeking citizenship will do their research prior to being interviewed. The practice test was fairly easy but the fact that it is multiple choice helps. Having to answer the questions aloud without options to choose from may make the test more difficult.

I think that it is a good idea for people to have a basic crash course understanding of how things in this country work. I did pretty well on the test and it wasn't too hard, but I think that this can be attributed to the fact that I just recently completed American History 1 and 2 in my school. I think that it is important for people to know this information even though a lot of natural born citizens do not even know a lot of this kind of stuff.
