Informational Source
Rhetorical Situation:
Writer: Ryan Young of American Institute of Economic Research
Text/Subject: An informative article expressing that some college athletes are getting paid and how not paying college athletes seems like paying unlabored workers.
Audience: Everyone and people interested in unpaid college athlete controversy.
Context: Amount of college athletes payed vs not paid and how that’s unfairly justified.

Summary: This article shows the controversy of student athletes, specifically, college athletes, and their hard-working attributes to play sports that they devote their whole life’s to in time with into their schedule as almost as it’s a job. This shows the reason that college athletes should be paid, and this is what the article talks about as the article talks about coaches being paid that our NCAA coaches versus student athletes in college that some don’t get paid. About a few years ago Memphis men’s basketball paid their athletes but due to NCAA rules, they broke the rules. This was raising questions if college athletes should get paid since they devote their whole life into the sport and their schedule and has also coaches are making money. Just not as many players. All in all many agree that college athletes should be paid, at least some money to have a fair opportunity of playing professional sports at a higher high-level, suggest college, and d1 sports.
The article also talks about how much in college football a lot of money is spent on running entertainment, as football is a lot of entertainment factor to it.

Creative Source
Rhetorical situation:
Writer: Tim Nevius
Text/Subject: Ted Talk video about College Sports an how much money is used with the entertainment aspect of hosting events and how this relates to why there is no free college education.
Audience: General public and college students
Context: Previous history in 80’s of college sports and money vs now.

Summary: in this informational the TED talk the speaker talks about money, spent with a high tuition rates, and where that money goes. This relates to paying college athletes. Some of the reason for high tuition is to find the school for entertainment events, such as football, games and fund other things such as basketball arena is an all. But., if we want to pay student athletes, the speaker suggest have to think about how we should manage the colleges money would you make it difficult to pay college athletes a substantial amount sense so much of the money Broughton is paid to entertainment and other things such as classes.
