Estos acontecimientos tienen más
de doscientos años y nos permiten reflexionar y entender nuestro proceso como nación. Si bien
todos tenemos en nuestra memoria los actos escolares con o sin disfraz de la escuela primaria, este
proceso histórico remite a una revolución. Un reclamo por parte del pueblo criollo por su libertad,
autonomía y finalmente su independencia.
Desde entonces fuimos formando y cuestionando nuestra identidad y el futuro de nuestro país. Hoy
tenemos la posibilidad de rememorar estos hechos y nuestros orígenes teniendo consciencia de que
la historia no está solo anclada en el pasado sino que la estamos viviendo en estos momentos.
Somos parte de la historia de nuestro país, de nuestra región y de nuestro planeta.
Rememoremos los momentos de nuestra historia reflexionando e interesándonos por nuestros
orígenes, nuestro presente y nuestro futuro.

Although we all have the recollection of primary school ceremonies, with or without costumes, this historical process talks of a revolution. A claim of the "criollos" to gain their freedom, autonomy and finally their independence. 
Since then, we have shaped and questioned our identity and our future as a country. Today we have the chance to commemorate those events and our origins being aware that history is not only about the past - we are living it right now. 
We are part of the history of our country, and of our region and our planet too. 
Let us remember these times in our history with an attitude of reflection and interest in our origins, our present and our future.
