Later when I started learning Spanish, I simply could not pronounce "r" in Spanish! It took a lot of practice for me to achieve a good pronunciation. Second, grammar rules are hard. It's hard for me to go anywhere because I don't have a car. However, I think that people are so friendly, calm, and kind in Lawrence. While I'm walking, some people smile at me and speak to me. On the other hand, it rarely happens in Osaka. I believe that my hometown is the best place to live in Japan for several reasons. First, where is Tarumi ward? It’s in Kobe, Hyogo prefecture, which means that it is close to Kobe, and the sea! But as you know, I live on a mountain. It takes about 40 minutes by foot or 12 minutes by bus to the station and the sea. And badly, when I get back to the station by train rapid service after 10:30 pm, I have to walk for 40 minutes at night. However, I also can get back home in about 20 minutes when I take the normal train, which arrives later. Many people may think it is inconvenient, but for me, it is kind of fun because I often think of something while walking. And Tarumi has many franchises such as ramen, beef bowl, and cheap Italian. Eight weeks have flown by. Before we say goodbye, I just want to say thank you for all your hard work this summer. Summer classes are never fun to teach, but you have made my summer job enjoyable. Although I had never taught any Japanese students before this summer (I did have some Vietnamese students at school, Ariel ), I feel like your group is probably one of the most intelligent and dedicated group of students I had ever had. Please keep up your hard work! You will be very successful! 

Last but not least, remember to read and write! Always! Read anything: Twitter, Facebook, news articles, novels, literature... Anything! The more you read, the easier it becomes. Also remember to write for 5 to 10 minutes a day as well. I mean it when I say I write my journal in English every day. It has been a great practice for me, and I hope it will help you too.
