Every year I would tell myself that the next year I would do better next year and all three years, I never made the honor roll cut. In my last year of high school, I tried so hard to make the honor roll, and I succeeded; I’ve never been more proud. I had to make personal statements and interviews, and only 300 students were accepted each year. Since 6th grade, I knew I wanted to go there, and I got into the school through their program called Future Leaders Program. It takes four years to complete and requires a heavy workload containing extracurricular activities, workshops, and volunteer work. Many students drop the program because of how intense the program is, but I promised myself I would try my best. After four years of dedication, I graduated from high school with this program being recognized

I live in Scarborough therefore the first step is to obtain a copy of the vulnerable sector screening from your jurisdiction. Therefore anyone with “M” starting in their postal code is considered to be located in Toronto and therefore they can obtain a VSS from Toronto Police services. I can obtain a copy from the school of Chilf and Youth Care located at 40 Once you have obtained a copy, complete the entire form and have a signature of the designated contact person. The cost for a student will be $20 otherwise if you are employed it will be $65. If you are under the age of 18 there will be no cost on the VSS. The process time is approximately 10 business days (no weekends) after the receipt but this can vary depending on how many more applicants need to be processed. The results are mailed to you, not the agency or employer you are intending to work with then you must disclose the results with your desired place of work or volunteer. My internship is in the fall therefore the end of April would be the latest just incase of delays
