The chain of survival is actions taken that, need to be properly executed so that it reduces the chances of death when a person might suddenly go into cardiac arrest. There are 4 links in the chain of survival. this includes, early access, early CPR, early defibrillation, and early advanced cardiac life support. when we watched the many videos of CPR and did the flyer/ poster of the chain of survival that really helped me understand this concept. other than the fact i was a lifeguard for 2 years.

it is very important when an injury happens that you act fast and assess the injury in the proper manor whether its just an ankle that needs to be taped or a pool of blood that you need to take care of. if in any case you need to make a splint there are 4 types of splints you can make. you can either make a hand, arm, thumb or leg splint. an arm splint can go in many different places. such as a Forearm valor splint Long arm posterior splint. Radial gutter splint. Sling and swathe splint. Sugar tong splint. Double sugar tong splint. just to name a few. there is also the thumb splints. this can include, the thumb Spica splint and the Ulnar gutter splint. and lastly the leg. you can preform Long leg posterior splint. Stirrup splint. Posterior ankle splint. there are proper precautions in dealing with blood and that is wearing gloves. the proper way to take and handle them. the video showing the ankle taping and the blood pressure video had also really helped me master this concept

I can make an inference of proper treatment based on the situation

i can infer what a treatment may be based on by assessing the scene. this is a huge indicator mostly if the person is unconscious. if the person is conscious then you can always ask them what might have happened relating to their bruise or cuts. if the victim says a nail cut them then you know you need to very well sanitize it because of bacteria and such. the victim is the best source for information if they are conscious. sometime witnesses so seen the accident could be a huge help as well if they are unconscious. the videos helped me understand and really master this concept.
