At the start of the semester, my goal was to improve the clarity and structure of my writing while learning to adapt my tone for different audiences. I feel I made great progress, especially in tailoring my style to fit the purpose of each assignment. For example, my research paper showed a more formal tone, while my reflective essays had a conversational style. Feedback from peers and instructors played a big role in this growth, helping me refine my ideas and polish my drafts. I also improved the structure of my arguments by using clear topic sentences and transitions, which made my writing flow better. My argumentative essay on environmental policies is a good example of this progress.

One challenge I faced was integrating research into my writing while keeping my own voice strong. Early on, I struggled to balance evidence and originality, but tools like annotated bibliographies helped me connect sources to my ideas more effectively. I also developed a more systematic approach to revising and editing, which made my writing stronger.
