Earlier in your development plans, communication and consultation with parents must have taken place.

The engagement with parents will also now develop further as you communicate again. This initial second stage will be determined by your setting but would include publishing a policy and any other relevant information. This may include a curriculum overview but should be guided by your settings wider approach to communicating across other curriculum areas, including clear information that is accessible to all stakeholders.

Effective communication at those early developmental stages will support parents to understand how and why the curriculum has been planned and implemented.
