         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Production:</strong><br>- They tend to be more mobile to access their resources that change with the seasons.<br>- Example: The Mistassini Cree in the 1970s would normally hunt and fish intensively in the fall and winter, gather berries and participate in cash generating activities such as guiding in the summer. <br><strong>Distribution:</strong><br>- Among foraging societies, from the Inuit of the Arctic to the San of Southern Africa, goods are distributed by reciprocity, or sharing. <br>- Reciprocity is the generalized giving of resources, with the expectation that sometime in the future the giver will be on the receiving end. <br><strong>Technology:</strong><br>-  Since people moved so frequently, there was no technology used to store or hoard their goods. <br>- Used boats as a form of transportation.<br><strong>Division of Labour:</strong><br>- Labour was divided along gender lines, men did most of the hunting and boat building, while women did much fishing, child care, and fur processing.<br><strong>Other Features: </strong><br>- In foraging societies, all members of society contribute to the survival of the group, and there are few status divisions.<br>- One of the most studied groups in anthropology.<br>- Nomadic</div>]]></description>
