My grandmother had the option to take typing as an elective in high school. Not all classrooms had these though and very few had the 10-key typewriters at this time

My mom grew up with chalkboards in every single one of her classrooms. She didn’t like the noise of chalk being used on the board. Luckily, I grew up after the chalkboard era and didn’t have to endure this!

Once my dad was in high school, every classroom had one of these bad boys! This was a game changer for sure!

Around this time, each school had a computer lab that would be shared by all grades

Around this time, some classrooms began having smart boards. This combined white boards with overhead projectors. The first ones came out in the late 2000’s and they are much more advanced today.

My cousin is in school right now and he uses iPads in the classroom to do school work. Most schools that have money these days use them, but every classroom is different
