To do this project you can: Make a poster and add images, quotes, and more stuff that express you as a person. Or you can make a video by adding images, text boxes, and videos.

This Project will help you prepare for your college essay in a lot of different ways. You can take ideas from your self-portrait and add it into your college essay. This is a way on how colleges can see how you love to express yourself by doing the things that you love and the type of person are, so they can get more background information about you.

Amherst College is a private liberal arts college in Amherst, Massachusetts. Founded in 1821 as an attempt to relocate Williams College by its then-president Zephaniah Swift Moore, Amherst is the third oldest institution of higher education in Massachusetts.

I picked this school because I went there in person and I absolutely loved it. I loved the vibe, the classes, how modern the building was and how it was able to provide my costs for internships and taking a class abroad. During April Break, me and my squash team went to 11 different colleges and universities during that week. While going on the trips I didnt have any expectations of finding a school that I really liked. But I did, I found two amazing schools that I fell in loved with. Those two colleges were Amherst college and Connecticut College. Both of the schools just felt IT for me and gave me the vibe that I can potenetially see myself here and loving this school even more. The size of the school was perfect and the landscape and the campus was gorgeous. I still fantasize till this day both of these schools. Out of the 11 colleges and universities we went too. Those were the biggest schools that stood out to me out of the crowd. Amherst College especially were able to provide a major specifically for my future career. Which is being a lawyer, they had a major named Law, Jurisprudence, and Social Thought. I found this out because the tour guide I had majored in that and minored in economics as well. So I was able to ask important questions about the class and how she deals with the stress of being a student who majors in law because it is not easy. She answered my questions and told me that coming here was one of the best decisions that she has made, Primairly because of the offers and the opportunities that they provided her for both her freshmen and sophmore year.

Family Lawyer:
Family lawyers are legal professionals that specialize in matters to do with family law. They handle legal issues that are concerned with members of the family. Such legal issues include divorce, child custody, and guardianship among others. Family lawyers can act as mediators when family disagreements develop.

Family law is a legal practice area that focuses on issues involving family relationships such as marriage, adoption, divorce, and child custody, among others. Attorneys practicing family law can represent clients in family court proceedings or in related negotiations. They can also draft important legal documents such as court petitions or property agreements.

To be a family lawyer you need to:
1) Earn a bachelors degree in college/university
2) Pass the LSAT
3) Complete 3-4 years of Law school
4) Get a law license
5) Earn continuing education credits

In addition we need these skills to make a great case and to be there for your clients:

Analytical thinking:
A big part about being a lawyer is looking at evidence and seeking a conclusion on which is the most beneficial for your client. Family lawyers use their analytical thinking skills to come up with solutions. Family cases can be quite complex and emotional, making it important to use your analytical thinking skills to figure out what's best for everyone involved.

Communication:
A essential part of being a family lawyer is that you will need to use communication skills every day. From writing important documents to speaking in court, your written and verbal communication skills are an important part of clearly conveying your ideas and arguments. Having strong communication skills can help you connect with clients and make a solid case for them.

Empathy:

Whether a couple is dealing with a dramatic divorce or joyful adoption, emotions can be quite strong in family court. While family lawyers need to remain logical and follow legal procedures, it is also important for them to treat their clients with empathy. Having empathy skills means that you can understand how someone is feeling in a certain situation. While you aren't a therapist, you may need to be a comforting presence when working in this career.

Negotiation
When it comes to any court case, there is a lot of negotiation involved. This is especially true when working with divorce or custody cases. Having strong negotiation skills is an important part of ensuring your clients get fair treatment in the courtroom. Many people involved in family court cases are in vulnerable situations, especially children, making it important that you can make a good case for your client's needs.

Organization:

Family lawyers work with a great deal of paperwork and important documents. Having organizational skills can help you keep everything in order. Along with being able to easily access your files, staying organized ensures that you are protecting the privacy of your clients. You are always sure that your confidential information is only going to authorized parties.

Research

While your client may provide you with useful information, you'll need to use your research skills to fully understand the entire situation you are dealing with. Through research, you can find useful evidence and key testimonies. You may even use your research skills to conduct interviews with people involved in your case. Asking the right questions is an important part of finding the information you need to best serve your client.

I would like to be a lawyer in the long run because I am interested in it and seeks my interests as well. This semester I took a Introduction to Criminal Law and it really made me opened my eyes of what lawyers do to day to day basis. While taking this class it also made me realize that I do not want to do criminal law. Criminal law is to scary for me and seems like something that would scare me. Especially for cases like murder and sex crimes. I finished that class in May and I did research about the different types of laws there are. The ones that really seeked my interest was family law and immigration law. One of the reasons is that they make the most money and the cases arent too hardcore and scary as Criminal law. But I have been devoted to being a lawyer for the 4 years and I know that being a law student is a lot. But the benefits that I would gain from it especially as a black women would mean the world to me.

We compete against neighboring schools in the area at least once a week to every week or so.

I joined the swim and dive team this past season. At first, I was hesitant to join the team because I was a bit concerned due to the lack of diversity, but gradually over time as we competed I did notice here and the other black people on rival teams, which kinda made me a more happy and excited to just simply compete on a team that didn't look like me at all. The only downside that I personally had while swimming on Hamden's girl's swim and dive team was the lack of diversity and a better feeling of inclusion as a person of color. Overall, I still recommend any students interested in competitive swimming or diving to just go for it even if no one looks like you, and know that you can and will be the change that any team or even group needs to become better.

University of Connecticut, or UCONN, is a public university in Storrs, Connecticut
With an acceptance rate of below half the applicants at a 45.4% as of 2022, the school is moderately selective with which people they let in. But, they also use other factors to determine one's chances of entry. Like most institutions, they look for uniqueness in people. Extracurriculars, talent, character, they don't just look at academics, but the applicant themselves. They're also test optional until next year, so that's always a plus. Their average for the SAT/ACT is 1170(SAT) and 26(ACT)

I personally want to go to UCONN more than any other college or university because of a few reasons.

One, it's BIG.

When I was first looking into UCONN a while back, I was initially turned off. It was basically right in the middle of nothing but forest. I'm not a fan of rural places, I'm more of a city boy.

That changed though, once I had taken a trip to the university as a class trip. It was huge, bigger than I would've ever thought. It was like a city within itself, which was pretty much all it took to change my mind.

Two, all of my future careers have academics in there.

I want to pursue computer programming, or carpentry. Former because I enjoy working with computers, and latter because I like working with wood, and I've already got some experience under my belt. UCONN has academic classes for both of those paths I want to take. They even have trades for them, too.

Three, study abroad.

YES. Everything about this. It's been a dream of mine to see everything that the world has to offer, and a life goal to do so, cause as AZ says on Nas' Life's a Bi*ch, "'Cause you never know when you're gonna go". I'll see, do, and experience as much as I could before I peace out.

Four, and most importantly. Here's where I get a little personal.

My mother went to UCONN and graduated from there. She was the main reason I really considered it, as she had nothing but good to say about the place.

She's not here with us any longer. But the loss made me feel even more inclined to try my damn best to get into this school, no matter what. If I don't, I'll go to Gateway or summ, ion know

I'm kidding on that last part. I won't worry about if's right now, just aim for my goal until I hit it. I also wish to stay in state, with all my family and friends. Though most people say that Connecticut kinda sucks, I gotta see all what it has to offer outside of New Haven before making that judgement.

My internship was the Library during the time I helped set up children bags which crayons, coloring books. I also helped organize storage and help set up the summer reading papers. Internship shows you how the job really is, it might be boring at first but you have to give it time. Even if you don't like it, it gives you a view of more options the more you search you an find the perfect job for yourself.

Software Engineers design, develops, tests, and maintains software for computers. Applying both engineering principles and knowledge of programming languages to create programs or software solutions for clients.

The reason I want to dedicate myself to this career path is mainly because I'm already into computers. It's a job that requires teamwork as well, as you'll need to communicate with clients and coworkers on a project. It's a challenging career, with plenty of problem solving and trial and error when it comes to making code. But that's sort of the type of challenge I look for. I had initially sought out for that sort of challenge in Computer Hardware Engineering, but after hearing from people in that field claiming they're not the biggest fan of it, and with the risk of being able to mess up a piece of hardware due to a small mistake, I decided that I would take a safer route.

Plus, they get paid well in Connecticut. With a $101,160 in CT and a $104,930 in New Haven, AND a bright outlook for future jobs in this field, why wouldn't I want to pursue it? While yes, this is a career I want to take because I'd be happy with it, some of that happiness comes with the bag that it'll rake in.

One tip that I think is very important when going to do community services at the food bank is to bring some extra layers with you because it tends to be very cold in the refrigeration room where produce such as meat is stored.

The best thing I enjoyed about this experience was that you get to work as a team with other students who you may have never even met or decided to talk to at school, and while working you get to know each and every person who works alongside you.

She’s very popular in the community.

When I met Ms.Kay before internships started we talked for about an hour and she explained to me and broke down the pricing of certain styles and why the prices should be that way depending on your living situation, and the time it takes you to do the style. I also enjoyed watching and learning about how being in and running a salon is not only about doing hair but knowing how to run a business and marketing etc. Ms.Kay also showed me that having a relationship with the clients comes with being a hairdresser. And I enjoyed talking to her clients, learning about their careers.

I would recommend this activity to someone who is not only interested in doing hair, but willing to run a business and be in the community. To be a child psychologist the best skills to consider are enthusiasm, Trustworthiness, specialized knowledge, and last but not least communication.

The best personality traits someone should characterize in if they want to become a child psychologist are patience, empathy, ethics, and someone who is open minded. With being a child psychologist you try your best to do what will benefit the child's mental health.

After researching this career and considering this as a future career path I have strong willed opinion on believing I would make a good child psychologist because personally I love trying to help people (specifically kids) find different opportunities to help them better their lives and find new ways to cope with trauma or in general make their day or life a little easier. I love that a big part of being a child psychologist is that you get to experience what it is like communicating with someone and seeing why they feel the way they do about life. This helps me prepare for the college experience because it is mandatory for your applications. My honest advice to you for expressing your identity is to write what's on your mind and not to care about what other people might think of they're reading it. Obviously it has to be an exceptional essay that you think could get you into college but don't worry about what your classmates might say while reading it.

We all go through our own personal things in life, but in this we learn to be our own person and accomplish our own things. With the things we went through, it should teach us to keep going forward and don't let it stop us from doing what we really wanna do.

While adding a youth perspective on festival engagement during our weekly meetings, the nine other fellows and I talked with festival board members and performers to brainstorm ways the festival could involve the New Haven community. At the end of the year, I worked with two other fellows to create a capstone project that incorporated statistics and student voices, collected through a survey sent out to various NHPS schools, to address the social justice issue of disparities in access to extracurricular programs and activities.

The NHA Outdoors Club hosts a variety of fun outdoor activities through all seasons of the school year. This year, with many new club members, we spent a full day at Mount Southington for our annual ski trip, went on many hikes including trails at East Rock and Sleeping Giant, and fundraised through a seedling sale with plants grown at the school from seed. Our major field trip this year was the ski trip, whether someone was a first time ski/snowboarder or an expert, the Mountain offered lessons and fitting trails for everyone. Our hikes give students the opportunity to socialize with classmates, explore nature, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Additionally, with our first ever seedling sale this year, we created a foundation for future plant and gardening endeavors at NHA. Please contact me or Mr. Kazienko if you have interest in joining the club!

State Salary: $196K - 226K per year

Education level: master's degree from an accredited MSN program with a CRNA program

I really want to pursue this career because it has always been interesting to me. Being in an operating room has always been where I wanted to be. Although it can be scary keeping people alive while they're in surgery you get to see so many cool things within the body that you don't see in a regular day. It definitely takes along time to get there but with the grace of god, hope, and faith I will pursue my dream.
