Conservation efforts have been carried out several times at the Umbul Binangun Bathing Complex. The most significant conservation action was the restoration and revitalization of the Umbul Binangun Baths in 2004. In this activity, comprehensive improvements were made to the physical elements of this complex to save the building from extinction. This revitalization is also to increase the tourism value of this complex which has existed since the 1970s. Even though the functions and activities in this complex are different from their original conditions, the current appearance and physical condition of the Umbul Binangun Baths must still be maintained in accordance with their original, significant values.

Some of these significant values ​​can be found in architectural elements, especially from the aspect of form, namely spatial layout, building envelope and outer space, as well as the aspect of meaning, namely in the form of traditional Javanese philosophy and meanings which are reflected in the architectural form and style. at the Umbul Binangun Baths. Traditional Javanese values, including Manunggaling Kawula Gusti, Sangkan Paraning Dumadi, and the meaning of the philosophical/imaginary axis of the Yogyakarta Palace, need to be maintained in the spatial layout of this complex. Additional buildings resulting from previous restoration must comply with these regulations. These things are an effort to maintain original cultural values ​​in the current new uses.

consists of 2 los buildings on the north side and 2 los buildings on the south side. Each los building consists of 4 rows used by traders with two faces facing each other. Between the rows of los there is a grid for the flow of visitors.

Each row of los has 12 columns, so in one los building there are 48 columns to support the concrete roof. The four market stall buildings are in the Indian Architecture style with a rectangular plan measuring 22 x 28.8 m and a three-storey gable roof made of concrete. The structure is reinforced concrete with 192 columns each measuring 20 x 25 cm. The height of the floor is between 18-30 cm from the market floor and uses a cover in the form of gray tiles measuring 20 x 20 cm.

The market complex can be accessed from various directions. The main gate from the west is from Jalan Margamulya (now Jalan Jendral A. Yani). From the south via Jalan Pabringan; from the north via Jalan Ketandan, and from the east via the small Loji area
