         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Financial advice helps people manage money, plan for the future, and make smart decisions.</p></li><li><p>For young people like Generation Z, financial advice is shifting from in-person meetings to online tools and social media.</p></li><li><p>This change offers new chances but also challenges.</p></li><li><p>My research question: <em>“How is the future of financial advice being shaped to meet the needs of my generation?”</em></p></li><li><p>I chose this because I am an 18-year-old Black female studying accounting and finance, and I want to explore how financial advice can be better for young people like me.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><ul><li><p>Financial advice is moving towards digital platforms, apps, and online tools (Deloitte, 2023).</p></li><li><p>Many young people lack financial literacy — understanding interest, inflation, and risk (Lusardi &amp; Mitchell, 2014).</p></li><li><p>Financial education helps young people save and budget better (Robb &amp; Woodyard, 2011).</p></li><li><p>Digital tools offer personalized advice but there are risks with trusting social media or AI without regulation (CFA Institute, 2022).</p></li><li><p>There is a gap in how financial advice addresses the needs of minority groups, including Black communities (Hamilton et al., 2015).</p></li><li><p>These findings show the need for both improved education and trustworthy, inclusive advice.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Gen Z prefers tech-driven, personalized financial advice like robo-advisors and mobile apps (Deloitte, 2023; Gomber et al., 2018).</p></li><li><p>Over 60% of young adults use digital tools for managing money with real-time advice.</p></li><li><p>However, these digital services often lack cultural relevance and trust for minority users (Hamilton et al., 2015; Conley, 2010).</p></li><li><p>Financial literacy remains a key barrier to benefiting fully from financial advice (Lusardi &amp; Mitchell, 2014).</p></li><li><p>Conclusion: The future of financial advice will be digital and personalized but must also include cultural understanding and education to serve my generation fully.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <title>COLUMN 6: Conclusion</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Digital technology is changing financial advice to be more personalized and accessible (Deloitte, 2023).</p></li><li><p>However, services are not yet fully inclusive or culturally sensitive to diverse groups like young Black people (Hamilton et al., 2015).</p></li><li><p>My research question was explored by showing the promise of technology and the need for better financial education and inclusivity.</p></li><li><p>If I repeated this research, I would improve time management and include primary data like surveys or interviews for deeper insights.</p></li><li><p>Developed skills in critical source evaluation, connecting theory to real-life issues, and reflecting on my research process.</p></li><li><p>Overall, gained a better understanding of financial advice's future and the importance of diversity and education (Sironi, 2016; Lusardi &amp; Mitchell, 2014).</p></li></ul>]]></description>
