I still used XtraMath because I liked that I could track their progress, but Math Magician lets students focus on one fact at a time. It was great way for students to independently study for our weekly timed quizzes during centers because not everyone in their group ends up staying on the same fact. There is also an option for them to practice a mixed set of facts when the time comes. The goal is to solve 20 problems in a minute or less. At the end, students have the option to print a certificate with their accuracy and time. As an incentive, anyone that could beat my time for a given factor could earn a ticket. The students loved trying to beat my time!

I have really gotten to love Edulastic over the last couple of weeks! I used it minimally before, but especially with distance learning I find it a very helpful platform for pushing out clean, easy to read practice and assessments for students. I love the access to the live classboard to see instantaneously which questions students are on, if they are correct or incorrect, and how much time is spent on the assignment. The data collected is great! I included a link to the Edulastics I've recently created.

One online resource that I use each year with my class is GoNoodle. GoNoodle is a website that offers various videos to use with students for movement breaks, brain breaks, calming breaks, etc. There are songs to sing with, dances to do, workout/exercise videos, and Calm Classroom style/breathing exercises. I love to use these videos throughout the day to give students movement breaks, but I also really love the calming videos to regroup after recess/lunch.

We used Edpuzzle a great deal in fifth grade during remote teaching, especially in Science and Math. There is great content on the site to use and you can edit it. We used math and science videos to explain different concepts. You can stop the video and add a question the students have to answer before they can move on in the video. There are multiple choice and short answer question types to use. Students can watch over and over again to make sure they understand the content.

One website I don't already see listed here is Prodigy for math. My son's first grade classroom used it, and it is free to use. At first, it didn't seem like he was doing much math (he always just spoke about the "battling") but I signed up as a parent and it is extremely impressive! It has a report card showing every standard for every grade, and detailed information about what percentage of the math curriculum he has mastered at that grade level. A con - it doesn't teach the math as far as I can see (no lessons/videos) so I feel like he has plateaued at math that is well beyond his grade level; but a major pro is that he is entering 2nd grade with math mastery closer to 3rd grade. Check it out; math & battling, what could go wrong?

One website that I have used for several years is Mr. Henry Anker tests. The website has a lot to offer and it is completely free and works on all devices. Topics are organized by content/subject area or grade level. I usually use it for math enrichment or review. Our district does have certain online programs they like us to use but once students have met their required weekly minutes on those websites I let them choose an educational website of their choice.
