The world has been challenged to adapt to a more remote lifestyle. The use of technology has been the foundation for reaching a "work from home" or "connect with loved ones" lifestyle.

Healthcare has been the frontline for this worldwide change and innovation of practice was much needed. The option for Tele Health / Tele Medicine has brought medicine to everyone's home and allowed specialty physicians to consult on a grander scale (Risk Management, 2021).

As stress is placed on healthcare, the need for quick access to resources is necessary. The need for primary care and urgent care settings are becoming more flexible and easier to use with the use of Tele Health/ Tele Medicine from the patient's own home or phone. The link on the photo above for Plushcare provides a "one click" option to access healthcare from home that is provided by CVS (Competitors, 2021).

Specialist consults such as Neurologist can be directly accessed in the Emergency Room settings when stroke protocols are initiated (Al Kasab et al., 2021). Allowing a more efficient evaluation in a time sensitive cases. Mental health consults and therapist are available for psychiatric patients in the hospital and at home. It benefits those who are unable to reach out or access healthcare quickly, but it also allows the healthcare providers a chance to see infectious patients (such as Covid positive) with no compromise to transmission. 

It also allows less stress for the hospitals and emergency rooms. With the intensity and volume increasing drastically across medicine, it allows the non-emergent, well patients an opportunity to access proper healthcare treatment from home (AHC Media, 2021). 

Emergency rooms now have a resource for Tele Psych and Tele Neuro consults without having to compromise a delay in patient care. Time sensitive needs are benefited from this technology innovation in a hospital setting and even within freestanding emergency rooms (Al Kasab et al., 2021).

People are likely to be more compliant with treatment plans and medication regiments with the option of healthcare from home. The option is available and covered by many insurance companies and the cost is minimal to an emergency room visit.

Overall, I believe it is one of the more recent innovations of practice that we were lucky to have available when Covid first hit. Without Tele Health/ Tele Medicine, there would have been minimal options for those in need during this pandemic and would be forced to go to the hospitals. It is a new innovative resource that many utilize already, but development on a grander scale will help direct it to it's full potential. Tele Health/ Tele Medicine has amazing benefits to healthcare already without question, but we need to market the healthcare option and educate the general public on when it is appropriate to utilize this tool.

As the team leader my top 5 strengths are: individualization, adaptability, relator, restorative, and developer. These strengths provide a foundation for leadership and personalize the project by giving individuality and adaptability. It allows the team flexibility in ideas with relator concepts and the idea to understand others including the patients cared for. A developer can drive a team to develop an innovative practice.

Brandon is the believer. He can see the innovation and know it works. He understands the project and builds his passion around its development.

Carter will bridge the gap between the patients understanding and educate in a thorough manner. He will preform closed-loop communication to enable transparency and clarity.

Faith is one to focus on the future. She is driven by inspiration and inspiring others. She can see a vision of the future and the positive outcomes it will bring.
