I’m really excited to get to know all of you—especially as we begin this cultural exchange between Taiwanese and Indian students. I hope we can all share, learn, and enjoy each other’s traditions, stories, and experiences while discovering the beauty of both our cultures. Let’s make this a fun and meaningful journey together!

Our name has a special story. Our school is between two local areas: Dongping and Zhongxing. We take “Dong” from Dongping and “Xing” from Zhongxing. There is also a small canal here called Dongxing. These local names give our school its name and spirit.

Our campus is young and lively. Students learn English, math, science, and the arts. We like project work, teamwork, and clubs. Teachers care about us and help us grow. We also join community events and care about the environment.

We are very happy to be your partner school this year. We want to share our school life, festivals, and food with you, and learn about your culture too. We hope our exchange helps us speak more English, make new friends, and understand the world better. Thank you for starting this journey with us! We will meet online during the year and use Padlet to share short videos, photos, and writing.

My name is Celine, and I teach at Dong Xing Junior High School in Taiwan. I like English, reading, and walking in nature. I am very happy to be your exchange partner this year! I’m an English teacher at Evergreen Public School, and I’m excited to be joining the DXJH project as part of this amazing journey. I truly enjoy working with children and believe in creating a positive, inspiring environment where they can learn and grow. Hello everyone, I am Ananya Diwakar a student of Evergreen Public School.

On Diwali evening, I dressed in new traditional clothes and participated in prayers with my family. We lit diyas and candles to brighten our homes and symbolize the victory of light over darkness. I enjoyed decorating my balcony and windows with strings of lights.

I celebrated Diwali with great excitement and joy. A few days before the festival, I helped my family clean and decorate our homes. We put up colorful rangoli designs at the entrance and hung diyas and lights around the house.

I celebrated Durga Puja with a lot of enthusiasm and devotion. A few days before the festival, I helped decorate my home and surroundings with flowers, lights, and rangoli. I also visited the pandals with my family to see the beautifully crafted idols of Goddess Durga.

I am dressed in traditional wear for Diwali celebration .I decorated my home with lights and rangoli. I did puja with my family and ate sweets. I felt very happy and enjoyed the festival.
