Dr. Andrew Newton is an accomplished psychiatrist who has over three decades of experience focusing on the provision of excellent medical care. An alumnus of the University of London and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. Newton specializes in in-patient and out-patient psychiatry, acute general adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and research, among other areas. During the course of his career, Dr. Andrew Newton has worked in various psychiatrist positions.

Some of his notable positions include owner and medical director of Newton Psychiatric Clinic which has offices in Mount Carmel and Harrisburg. Since 1998, Dr. Newton has managed his private psychiatry practice, which focuses on a wide range of outpatient recovery services. In addition, Dr. Newton works with Team Centurion/MHM Services as a chief regional psychiatrist at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Andrew Newton served as attending psychiatrist at Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. He also served as a consulting psychiatrist with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, SCI (State Correctional Institution)-Frackville, Coal Township, and Camp Hill. To maintain his professional standing, Dr. Andrew Newton is a member of American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, British Medical Association, and Fellow Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland.
