This is an intense topic now days. From the book (Pg.551) Social Change is sometimes intentional but often unplanned. Some of the perfect examples are, cars, and the damage they make to our environment, and in this case, cell phones and the lack of social interaction we are having with our relatives or everyone in general. (Pg.572) technology weakened traditional attachments to hometowns and families. This one was a little difficult to represent in a picture or quote, but basically is saying that we live in a world of inequality and at the same time, modernity is trying to find solutions based on technology and modernity rather than solve the problem from the root. The way I understand this one is maybe by the modernization though out time, (Pg.574) the transformation caused by the information revolution and the postindustrial economy. this picture might be an example of this transformation revolution, and how modernization has evolve over time, and took control over everything.
