Below I have pointed out some of them. All of the applications noted below can be found "out of the box" in the dock within Ubuntu.

Dash Home Button - Similar to Windows "My Documents" contains all of a users photos, documents, downloads, music, etc.

FireFox - Preinstalled web browser

Libre Office Suite - The Libre Office Suite for Ubuntu includes Libre Writer, Libre Calc and Libre Impress. These applications equate to Word, Excel and Powerpoint in the Microsoft Office Suite and are compatible with Microsoft Office if documents are saved correctly.

Software Center - Similar to the App Store for Mac OS, the Ubuntu Software Center allows users to download applications for use on their machine from third party developers.

Amazon - Built in button to take you directly to Amazon within your Firefox web browser.

I could see myself using it again in the future, as it is so easy to use.
