I am interested of learning new things. I really want to learn to use the newest methods and tools in teaching, with which the pupils are happy. I love the nature and my main interest after the work is to give Okiyome, Divine Light. There are in Guadeloupe 2 Dojos, which I would like to visit. Everbody can join me and experience the huge power of this energy. Travelling, getting to know people and their cultures, exchanging experiences and opinions means learning from each other which is the most precious and in fact easiest way of making life more colourful and richer. 
As a language teacher (English, French, Spanish), foreign relations and cultural exchange are very close to my heart and determine my entire life not only professionally but also privately. I myself have gained valuable experience, thanks to numerous stays abroad, later in my life often combined with professional practice, which should also be made possible for students as early as possible. 
That is why I am really looking forward to meeting all of you as we all seem to have a similar life philosophy with the idea of going through life with eyes open and heart respectful and spirit receptive with the will to lifelong learning and conveying that concept to the next generation by teaching and motivating projects.

my name is Silvia which means “queen of the forest” in Latin. My second name Maria (but everybody calls me only Silvia) means “lady of the sea” or “mermaid” which fits even better to me because I love the sea. However, I am interested in nature in general which makes sense as a biology teacher, but I do teach languages as well.
On my first time in the Caribbean I arrived by a cruise ship all the way crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Spain. To observe the changing color of the ocean and rising temperature every day was amazing. For this time in the Caribbean I hope to get to know new teaching methods - but I am actually sure for that because I have the opportunity to meet a group of willing teachers to share their ideas with me on Guadeloupe! I prefer to discuss about teaching techniques and projects face to face rather than to read about them in a book or on the internet.
I already told you that I love the ocean, therefore, I am really looking forward to enjoying the outside-oceanfront-classroom with all of you on Guadeloupe and to sharing experiences, thoughts and cultural aspects with you!

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away a wise man "brilliantly portrayed by Gary Oldman in the Darkest Hour" once said: Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts. His words really resonated with me, still to this day. To me it not only means you have to keep pushing forward if life nocks you down. It also means you have keep and open mind and have the courage to experience new, exciting and sometimes scary tings. 
His words helped me become the passionate, optimistic and dare i say empahtic fun loving movie geek I am today.
I am looking forward to spending the next two weeks with you all in Guadeloupe  learning about the islands historie and talking/debatingabout one of my biggest passions in life: Teaching.
