Processed food is a food substance not found naturally that is made through production. GMO are exactly what is sounds like, the altering of an organism's DNA forcefully. These food substances are artificial substance everyone in America takes and picked up popularity in the mid nineteen century. The authors of these websites , Elea Carey and Marc Lallanilla's purpose is to relay a message and spread awareness to inform everyone what exactly they are eating. The people they are trying to inform are those who eat these products which are us Americans.

This illustrates Orwell's warning as it relates to 1984. In the book 1984 there is a food brand called Victory. They are fake food substances given in rations that everyone in Oceania consumes. But everyone in Oceania are completely fine consuming these fake food products, same way how Americans are indifferent towards GMO and processed food. In the book no one there is actually healthy rather they are all pretty unhealthy, as Winston has the ulcer on his feet. All these food products by no means are not natural, but people in America and 1984 accepts it willingly. This is where Orwell's warning comes into play, Orwell is trying to warn us to question about what we put in our own bodies. This effects us socially as majority of us consume these suspicious artificial food. Meaning if there was a long term problem as there isn't enough data for GMO and processed food yet it will cause a big upset in society. Which will bring a social disorder with fear on who eats what. We should care as it can harm our bodies and in the end it will ultimately be the person who consumed these food product at fault. The deeper meaning is to question the submission or reject the society.

This movie covers a fairly big social warning that Orwell is trying to inform. First there is Lord Business who is a Big Brother figure and has all of dystopian society following him. Then there is Emmet who goes against his authority. This connects to 1984 as it has Winston trying to defy Big Brother same way with Emmet going against Lord Business. We should care as it warns us how a authoritarian figure with to much power will bring a dystopia. The Orwellian warning that this meme covers is the nationalism that happens in 1984. There is Spies, which are children overflowing with nationalism to rat out their own blood relatives and friends to have them vaporized. The reason why we should care is the blinded passion caused my nationalism will bring us to harm others and ourselves. Nationalism may give a social harmony, but it may eventually destroy itself for pride. In 1984 there are inner party which are government and upper class, outer party which are middle class, and proles which are the lower class. Orwell's warning is to avoid such class distinction as in the end the lower class has the power to over throw society norms and authority. Same way in 1984 the Proles can decide decide the fate of Oceania as Winston mentions hope lies in the Proles. We should care as our entire society depends on the lower class or proles. This is a representation of a social Orwellian warning. for example, in 1984 there is Hate Week where information is changed. During Hate Week information on who is enemies and allies is constantly being switches between Eurasia and Eastasia. Same way just as Orwell warns to question the information given about news as they have a possibility of being fake, the police lying is a direct evidence of that claim. We should care as we should know the truth behind the information given to the masses. This implies because by feeding lies to the social masses will bring a social society with more doubt than trust.
