1. Be aware of the procedures surrounding CYP's condition - first aid actions and medication.
2. Check with CYP to ensure that she has her medication available and is confident at using it.
3. Be mindful of how a LTC will affect a CYP's mental state and daily living and look at strategies to 'reclaim their life'.
4. Graded exposure in exercise, little and often - looking at how enjoyable her life would be when she is fitter and healthier.
5. Investigate the last time she had an attack, what happened, how bad was it? Has she ever done exercise and you HAVEN'T had an asthma attack - look at the NATs.
6. Create a safety plan for when she has an attack / or when she begins graded exposure on exercise, i.e. coloured wrist band.
7. Psychoeducation for school staff

Young Somerset. Research on the condition, discuss with GP + parents if appropriate. School medical records. Can the YP manage their own medication. How does this condition affect your daily life. Ask about the last time an attack / problem occurred ?? fears appropriate ?? Some clinical information is important for planning appropriate behavioural activation, cognitive restructuring. etc.
