To me, Singapore is the 'best' country, i was born and brought up there, until i came to Shanghai when i was eleven. I really like the food, the small population of people and the language spoken there. And i would never forget our motto, 'Onward Singapore!'
It has many particular food, for example laksa, I like the spicy and coconut flavour in my mouth. Singapore is known to be the "little red dot" on the map, its really a small country, but its a very busy country. Singapore is also a multi-national country and has English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil for our official language.
There's lots of many things I like bout Singapore, so of-course there will be dislikes. In Singapore, there is only one season, summer but it rains a lot there. One of the worst thing in Singapore i dislike, is the education. I can get 85% in SSIS Math test, but only about 50% in a Singapore normal Math test.

Sentosa Island.

Sentosa is a popular island resort in Singapore, and it as known to be the "Asia's favourite playground". The name Sentosa, translate "peace and tranquility" in Malay. Sentosa was once known as a really cool name, "Island Death Behind". Sentosa offers a variety of attractions, museums and other facilities to provide a variety of experiences, recreation and entertainment to visitors. Sentosa has 3 beaches Palawan, Siloso and Tanjong beach. My favourite about Sentosa is during the night, sometimes there will be fireworks across the whole island.

Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore is a really big theme park in Singapore. Its a fun place for both adults and kids. There are many themed areas within the park such as, Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The lost world, Far Far Away and Madagascar. Within these areas, there are many rides and attractions that you can enjoy. If you are lucky, you might be able to take pictures with your favourite cartoon characters walking around the park. I highly recommend the Revenge of the Mummy Ride within the Ancient Egypt area.

Singapore Flyer

The Singapore Flyer is the biggest Ferris wheel in Asia. It is located in the central of Singapore and at the tip of the Ferris wheel. You will be able to capture a panoramic view of Singapore's Marina Bay's skyline. You may be also able to see a glimpse of Malaysia and Indonesia. Around the flyer there are also some shopping and dinning. I like it when the Singapore Flyer is at dusk when the sun is setting, and the skyscrapers are be lighted up.

Singapore Zoo

Kids and adults alike will find plenty to get excited about the Singapore Zoo. It houses many animals in its large rainforest environment. The exhibits allow visitors to get close to many exotic creatures, you could even feed some of them. Enjoy the animal shows like Splash safari and Elephant at Work and Play, that shows you the animals skills. For me, i enjoy going to the Zoo to see the White Tigers.

The Jurong Bird Park.

Jurong Bird Park is one of the most renowned bird sanctuaries with some of the largest free-flying aviaries in the world. The park is home to a large collection of birds. There's a Waterfall Avairy that houses many birds. As you walk around the park, be prepared for your camera as there will be many small birds that flutter around you. Hop onboard guided trams or take a leisurely stroll around the Park and explore the lush jungles. You’ll be swept off your feet in the colourful paradise of unforgettable experiences and personal encounters with feathered friends.

How Laksa is usually served in Singapore Hawkers

Laksa is a spice-laden Noodle Dish that is popular in Singapore and Malaysia. It gains popularity really quick in Southeast Asia for its delicious taste. Laksa means curry laksa, a noodle dish with coconut milk and curry base. There are many different types of laksa and the dominant one is the Curry Laksa with coconut milk base and the Asam Laksa with tamarind base. Laksa is a street food and is mostly serve in hawker centres in Singapore. As a Singapore this is one the the main dish i have been eating growing up.

Main Ingredients

Yellow Noodles

3 tbspn Oil
1/2 packet Curry paste
2 cups Chicken stock
2 cups Water
2 stalks Lemongrass (grounded white part)
1/2 cup Evaporated Milk
1/2 cup Coconut milk

Optional Ingredients to make it look better and smell more fragrance

Vermicelli
Bean Sprouts
10 shrimp (peeled, cooked)
2 or 3 hard-boiled eggs (quartered)
Fish cakes (Cut into pieces)
10 fried tofu puffs (Cut into pieces)
3~5 Kaffir lime leaves

Method

1. Add oil and curry paste into put until aromatic.

2. Add water, lemongrass and Chicken stock to boil.

(Kaffir lime leaves, tofu puffs)

3. Add the evaporated milk and coconut milk. Add salt to keep taste.

4. Rinse the yellow noodles, drained and set aside.

(Soak the dry vermicelli with some warm water until soft, drain and set aside)

5. To assemble the bowl of laksa, boil some yellow noodles.

(Vermicelli, and a handful of beansprouts)

6. Drain the noodles and transfer to serving bowl

(Add 2-3 shrimps, fish cakes, 1-2 1/2 eggs on top of noodle)

7. Use ladle and pour curry laksa soup over noodles.

(Add a few pieces of fried tofu puffs on top)

8. SERVE IMMEDIATELY WHEN STILL HOT
