I chose this artwork because I really liked the solid colors that it features. The different shades of pink and blue make the painting less 2 dimensional and the yellow diving board and splash bring attention to this piece. The color scheme and palm trees make the setting feel warm and reminds me of Florida or California! The most dominant image in this painting is the splash, which is interesting because the actual subject/person is not shown, but their momentary splash is. All in all, I think this painting is successful in that it captivates the audience and thoughtfully uses colors to convey a feeling.
