MALAYSIA ADVERTISEMENT
The culture of Malaysia draws on the varied cultures of the different people of Malaysia. There are 3 major race in Malaysia which are Malay, Chinese and Indian. Today, I would like to share about the indian culture when they are celebrating Deepavali. This are some of their routine :
1) Learn what Diwali is. Diwali is also known as Deepavali, the "deep" meaning "light" or "lamp", and "avali" meaning "row". This "row of lights" is represented by lighting lamps everywhere during Diwali. The reasons behind celebrating Diwali differ and are outlined under tips.
2) Go shopping. It is customary to buy utensils and ornaments on the first day of Diwali.
3) Clean the houses and business premises thoroughly before the first Diwali day, or the Dhanteras. Do the laundry, clean all the rooms and sort out your papers in both your home and business. It's like a spring cleaning of sorts, a "cleansing" ritual to rid yourself of any unnecessary elements in your environment.
4) Make the entrance way to your home or business colourful using the traditional motifs of Rangoli designs. These include bells, flower garlands, wall hangings, mirrors, LED lights, etc. This is a joyful way to welcome the Goddess of Wealth and Property.
5) Light lamps every night during the festival. In the evening, light small oil lamps (called "diyas") and place them around the home.
6) Light some firecrackers and fireworks. These are a common part of Diwali, used to symbolize warding off evil from your surroundings. They are usually set off in greatest numbers on the actual day of Diwali (the third day).
7) Wear new clothes and jewels on the second and third days. If you are a woman, try to obtain a sari, the traditional Indian dress for women which is 9 yards (8.2 m) of fabric draped elegantly at the waist and across the left shoulder. Women may also wear a salwar-kurta (Indian flowing tunic with matching pants/leggings and long shawl/scarf).
8) Bake sweets, snacks, and savories.
9) Go vegetarian. For many Indians, Diwali is a meatless holiday. There aren't any set dishes, so the choices can be varied but it is important to include sweets, as Diwali is about sweets.
10) Perform a "Lakshmi pooja". This is a ritual performed on Diwali day (the third day) in order to seek divine blessings from the Goddess of Wealth, Lakshmi, who helps those who strive to achieve wealth.

Next, i want to share about an International Culture. I'm choosing culture from Indonesia because for me it is different from my country, Malaysia. It have many heritage and culture. Some of them are :

1. The name Indonesia, meaning Indian Islands, was coined by an Englishman, J. R. Logan, in Malaya in 1850. Derived from the Greek,Indos(India) andnesos(island), it has parallels in Melanesia, "black islands"; Micronesia, "small islands"; and Polynesia, "many islands." A German geographer, Adolf Bastian, used it in the title of his book,Indonesien, in 1884, and in 1928 nationalists adopted it as the name of their hoped-for nation.
2. In traditional ritual, special food is served to the spirits or the deceased and eaten by the participants. The ubiquitous Javanese ritual, selamatan, is marked by a meal between the celebrants and is held at all sorts of events, from life-cycle rituals to the blessing of new things entering a village. Life-cycle events, particularly marriages and funerals, are the main occasions for ceremonies in both rural and urban areas, and each has religious and secular aspects.
3. Workers harvest rice on a terraced paddy on the island of Bali.
4. Indonesian art forms are greatly influenced by religion. The famous dance dramas of Java and Bali are derived from Hindu mythology and often feature fragments from the Hindu epics such as Ramayana and Mahabharata.
5. The crafts of Indonesia vary in both medium and art form. As a whole the people are artistic by nature and express themselves on canvas, wood, metals, clay and stone.
6. indonesia is rich in handicrafts. Various forms of handicrafts practiced are: woodcarvings for ornamentation and furniture, silverwork and engraving from Yogyakarta and Sumatra.
7. These include the Wayang shadow puppet theatre, the gamelan orchestra, Balinese and Javanese dances, batik cloth making traditions, and rice based and spicy cuisine.
8. Indonesia, like much of Southeast Asia, has adopted and adapted the great Hindu epics of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and uses these stories as the basis of many dance, musical, and puppetry performances.
9. Indonesian culture, like Indonesia itself, is a fascinating blend of indigenous, Malay, Hindu, Buddhist, and Islamic elements. Indonesia is a country of great diversity and its national motto is "Unity in Diversity."
10. "Wonderful Indonesia" :D

Today I want to share a video about general MALAYSIAN cultures.
1. Malaysia has more than 20 languages (Malay, English, Tamil, Cantonese, Hokkien)
2. Over 40 etnik
3. People with full respect, understanding and good food
4. Peace and harmony for all since 1957
5. Always put the goods tempatan
6. Architecture in Malaysia is a combination of many styles, from Islamic and Chinese styles to those brought by the European colonists.
7. Malaysia's cuisine reflects the multiethnic makeup of its population and is defined by its diversity. Many cultures from Malaysia and the surrounding areas have greatly influenced Malaysian cuisine, with strong influences from Malay, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Javanese, and Sumatran cuisines.
8. The way names are used also varies between ethnicities:
Chinese The traditionally have three names. The surname (family name) is the first and is followed by two personal names. Many Chinese adopt more Western names and may ask you to use that instead. Many Malays do not have surnames. Instead, men add their father's name to their own name with the term "bin" (meaning 'son of'). So Rosli bin Suleiman, would be Rosli the son of Suleiman. Women use the term "daughter", so Aysha Aysha bint Suleiman is the daughter of Suleiman. Many Indians do not use surnames. Instead, they place the initial of their father's name in front of their own name. The man's name is their formal name, "s / o" (son of) and the father's name. Women use "d / o" to refer to themselves as the daughter of their father.

The matcha tea ceremony has been an integral part of the traditional Japanese culture for centuries. A quiet celebration performed with grace and beauty, the matcha tea ritual is a bonding experience of mindfulness, respect and a focus on the now.A tea ceremony being performed outdoors with a tetsubin, a brazier, and a tea bowl; a bamboo marker marks the seating position of the host. Traditionally the year is divided by tea practitioners into two main seasons: sunken hearth season, constituting the colder months (traditionally November to April), and the brazier season, constituting the warmer months (traditionally May to October). The guests are served a cup of the hot water, kombu tea, roasted barley tea, or sakurayu. When all the guests have arrived and finished their preparations, they proceed to the outdoor waiting bench in the roji, where they remain until summoned by the host.Following a silent bow between host and guests, the guests proceed in order to atsukubai (stone basin) where they ritually purify themselves by washing their hands and rinsing their mouths with water, and then continue along the roji to the tea house. They remove their footwear and enter the tea room. This signifies a change from the more formal portion of the gathering to the more casual portion, and the host will return to the tea room to bring in a smoking set ( tabako-bon?) and more confections, usually higashi, to accompany the thin tea, and possibly cushions for the guests' comfort.

Japanese Table Manners:
Japanese food” is no longer the food for Japanese only. It prevails all over the world. Most people are accustomed to typical Japanese food such as sushi and tempura. However, some seem to be worried about the way they are eating, including the readers of this newsletter. We’ve got a number of requests for an explanation of table etiquettes in Japan. So here we go!Before starting, we would like to ask our readers not to worry too much! Food is food, and what is most important is to enjoy it!
1)When you enter the restaurant, a waiter or a waitress will offer you a wet towel or a wet piece of paper. It is to wipe your hands to refresh yourself.
2)If they serve it with a bamboo or plastic tray, please put it on the tray after you wipe your hands so that you can use it again whenever you need.

3)It is rude to make noise while eating as here in the U.S. but there are a few notable exceptions: when you eat Japanese noodles (soba, udon, ramen, somen, whatever), when you have miso soup.
4)You may be surprised to hear you should rather make noise when you drink up a cup of tea at the end of a tea ceremony to show your content with the service, so you should practice )
5)Please avoid holding food with two pairs of chopsticks.
6)It is believed to bring bad luck because it reminds us of a ritual behavior at funerals. 7)If you want to pass food to another person, put it on a plate once so that the other can take it with his or her own chopsticks.

8)It is not preferable to stick your chopsticks to the food, especially to a rice bowl, because it is the same way to offer a bowl of rice to the tablet of the deceased. 9)Speaking of a rice bowl, it is better to hold the bowl with your hand, while scooping rice with chopsticks with the other hand.
10It is not only well mannered, but also reasonable to prevent the food from dropping.

In this video, we can see that how Korean people enjoy Coca Cola drink, doesn't matter it is adult or teenagers or kids. In the video, we can see Korean culture through the wedding. Even though the bride is wearing a dress, but her relative are wearing Hanbok which is Korean traditional dress for woman. And the other part is there a children who are taking a train going back to their hometown. At their hometown, we can see how their life is. There is value in this video. We can see that there a young woman who bow to elders and how the grandparents love their grandchildren. There is custom which i mention earlier. At the wedding, we can see the custom.

My second video about international culture
1.Saman (or the dance of thousand hands) is one of the most popular dances in Indonesia.
2.Its origin is from the Gayo ethnic group from Gayo Lues, Aceh province, Sumatra, and is normally performed to celebrate important occasions.
3.the dance is done by a group of people without any additional music instruments.
4.Originally, the group was exclusively male.
5.They player sing some songs while doing some attractive movements. A short song (which leads to a short dance) can last for approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
6.The dancers enters the stage and immediately form a single line while sitting in a form equivalent to the Japanese seiza.
7.The song then starts to play, with the lyric at the beginning commonly telling the generals of Gayo culture at medium pace.
8. the pace becomes faster, and the seat position may change.
9.The key element here is that every player must move at the same time, creating a homogeneous, continuous, line of movement that are often described as the defining feature of Saman dance.
10. this dances quite unique is that the original Saman dance which originally comes from Gayo Lues is not accompanied by any musical instruments.

1. In Malaysia, the language is officially known as Bahasa Malaysia, which translates as the "Malaysian language".
2. Malaysia is a multi-cultural society. The main ethnic groups are the native Malays as well as large populations of Chinese, and Indians.
3.The family is considered the centre of the social structure. As a result there is a great emphasis on unity, loyalty and respect for the elderly. The family is the place where the individual can be guaranteed both emotional and financial support. When one member of the family suffers a financial setback, the rest of the family will contribute what they can to help out. Families tend to be extended, although in the larger cities this will naturally differ.
4. Malays, Chinese and Indians all strive to maintain face and avoid shame both in public and private. Face is a personal concept that embraces qualities such as a good name, good character, and being held in esteem by one's peers. Face is considered a commodity that can be given, lost, taken away, or earned. On top of this face also extends to the family, school, company, and even the nation itself.
5. The way names are used also varies between ethnicities:

Chinese
The Chinese traditionally have 3 names. The surname (family name) is first and is followed by two personal names.• Many Chinese adopt more Western names and may ask you to use that instead.

Malays
Many Malays do not have surnames. Instead, men add their father's name to their own name with the term "bin" (meaning ‘son of’). So Rosli bin Suleiman, would be Rosli the son of Suleiman. • Women use the term "binti", so Aysha bint Suleiman is Aysha the daughter of Suleiman.

Indian
Many Indians do not use surnames. Instead, they place the initial of their father's name in front of their own name. The man's formal name is their name "s/o" (son of) and the father's name. • Women use "d/o" to refer to themselves as the daughter of their father.
