Sexually Transmitted Diseases are very serious and should be taken very serious as well. STD’s are infections passed from one person to another usually during vaginal, anal and oral sex (Nordqvist, 2018). I know, crazy right? If having no sexual intercourse is a problem, then the next safest way is to always use a condom correctly. Condoms lessen the risk of contracting STD’s, but you are still at risk, just a lot less likely to get one. Another good way of preventing these infectious diseases is by having as few sexual partners as possible. There is no shame in going to get tested and knowing you and your partner are clean. This papers goal was to help educate society on the different types of STD’s and to be made aware of them so everyone can live a long and healthy life. Remember, it isn’t always a life ending ordeal if you do get a STD, but you should definitely go talk to a doctor as soon as possible to see what steps should be taken to treat it.
