Charles Dickens is one of the authors that portrays this time and the people who lived there. 
Hard times is set in a fictional industrial town, called Coketown, somewhere in the north of England  in the mid-1800s. The town is dirty and noisy, and the life of the people working in the factories is hard. Mr.Gradgrind, who is the local MP, represents the people of Coketown in Parliament. He has set up a school in the town and is very pround of its work.
From the part we read, school was very diferente in the past. As we all know, neither everybody had access to school, because the families needed their children to work, in order to be able to buy them food. And, because of that, there were a lot of students in a class, with a lot of restricted rules, to control the classes. 
But, as we all know, school is pretty different today. Every single kid in the whole world as to go to school until their 18th birthday, and there aren’t as many people in a class, as there were back in the 19th century. Besides that, we can notice that the classes are not as big as they were before, and the conditions for the students to learn are a lot better now.
So, these are the differences that I noticed about school in the past and in the present.

My name is David, and I'm going to tell you how the situation that our country as been living in the past few days as changed my daily routine.
 So, in these last few days, I have slept a lot more than I used to, wich I can not complain, because it's something that I love to do. I also have a lot more free time than usual, wich I'm using to play videogames, watch series, chat with my friends, run, do the tasks that the teachers are sending to us, and some other things.
Right now, my life has been quite calm, but I miss going out and spend time with my friends, wich is the main thing that I'm missing with this hole pandemic.
And this as been my routine, as simple as it looks like. I really hope we can get back to normal as soon as possible. I hope everyone is ok. The longevity that this school as, in my opinion, is something really amazing.
