Simultaneously, I'll still feel slight guilt seeing my grandparent lonely due to not being able to attend the occasion of my elder's birthday party, since it may be seen as disrespect and narcissism towards myself. Overall, the terrible feeling in the gut seeing my grandparent lonely will outweigh the narcissistic act of not going to the party, and I would soon to realize the value of my grandparents towards me and the contribution they've had to this world, allowing their party to be more worthy than my competition.

as a teenager in a situation where my grandma wants to spend time with me while i’m more focused on my own social life, i feel that this is inevitable as teenagers are in their own pathways of discovering themselves and having fun with peers. it is hard to find a balance between socialising and spending quality time with family, especially with the elderly. often in these situations the elderly would feel neglected and abandoned, and some may feel anger towards teenagers for making them feel so. however in order to solve the problem, effective communication between the two is needed for them to understand each other. the teenager can sacrifice some time to keep the elderly in company, while the elderly can acknowledge the teenager’s effort and respect their boundaries. this way both needs can be fulfilled.

Being too busy as a role of parent, Work overloading causes me not to squeeze any spare time to spend with my elderly parents. Even dialing and texting them. Making me feel guilty on not visiting them even when they feel alone and full of loneliness. Having these kinds of troubles, I’ll prefer communicating with them, let them understand my reasons of not visiting them, to prevent them from over thinking. At the same time, try to rearrange my own schedule, at least saving a night or an afternoon to hangout with them. If time allows, I would prefer bring them to country side places, to let them breath in some fresh air, allowing them to stay refreshed.

For their 85th birthday party, It's my duty to make them happy and satisfied.

I may feel guilty that I can't give my parents a birthday party with all family members and being ashamed that my children don't that care about their grandparents' 85th birthday party

In this case, I may at least let children make a video call at party and invite the elderly's friends and neighbourhoods to join the party.

After this activity of role as a elderly, this opportunity allow me to reflect on how most family giving excuses on not able to spend their time with the elderly (eg: busy working, spending their time with their friends) i would definitely feel betrayed by the family as the elderly had been rising them since the day they were born. This activity has given a time to reflect on how it is important spending their time is important to both elderly and their family connecting their relationships and also having communications is important. this also help me to understand how the elderly had feel living alone in the house left behind with no one to come visit them.

It impacts my ability by working late hours since it is a high demanding job, this will lead to not being able to meet my parents and spend more quality time, as most elderly suffer from depression because of the loneliness.

As I have my own life tho maintain and my kids to take care of it’s hard for me to focus on all sides at once

To solve this I’ll probably keep my parents live close to me and try to visit them whenever I possibly can
