However, analytics primarily focus on identifying connections between data to support hypothesis, transforming collected data into visualizations, and interpreting data to draw conclusions. In contrast, reporting simply presents data in an efficient way that allows users to explore topics more deeply. For instance, in a college lab, students are required to write an analysis of how a topic relates to their experiment by using formulas and calculating percentage errors. Afterward, they must "report" the data in the form of a summary that outlines the purpose of the lab.
